**WEAPONS INFORMATION**

Weapons shall be considered anything a ted requires to do the job at hand, for many teds do not use conventional weaponry to defeat their foes. A Sunshine-Bringer, for instance, combats such foes as Sadness, Loneliness, and Fear of the Dark that plague their human companions. All one truly requires to do this task are a Smile or a Hug. A Helpful Friend who enjoys gardening might list a Gardener's Trowel, a Shovel, or a Rake as weapons. A Jester might use Balloons, Flowers, or Juggling Balls. The possible "weapons" for these classes of ted are almost limitless, but they are NEVER used to inflict harm.

HOWEVER--Brave Guardians, Heroes and Monster Hunters do often carry conventional weapons, and there are strict rules as to their type and use. Teds of the League are not barbarians or vigilantes. We do not seek attack, certainly not to kill (save only when hunting Monsters, for they hurt and kill babies and children). With all other foes we seek to subdue with the least possible amount of force. We defend, we do not roam about picking fights. You must understand and accept these facts if you would be a ted of the League, and because of the nature of our service there are certain types of weapons that are completely outlawed and the use of which will never be condoned. Others can only be used under special provisions. You must therefore study this information before deciding what weapons your ted uses.

BANNED WEAPONS

EXPLOSIVE PROJECTILE WEAPONS

Machine Guns
Rifles
Handguns
Bazookas
Grenade Launchers
Bombs

**I don't believe I need to explain. These are weapons created for one purpose alone--mass destruction.


BLADED WEAPONS

Daggers
Claw Weapons
Hooks
Razors
Shuriken & other deadly bladed Ninja weapons

**Basically, if it is made to rip, shred and hack, as well as attack in ambush, it is unacceptible.


BLUDGEON WEAPONS

Heavy Clubs and Maces, especially SPIKED ones.
Numchuks

**These too easily maim and smash bones.


OTHER

Any weapon using POISON or ACIDS--to inject, spray, squirt, or coating the contact surface of a weapon--is utterly dishonorable and unacceptible.
Any weapon using projectiles with deadly force, such as Slingshot, Catapult, or Bow with sharp-tipped arrows.
Any weapon using radiations or beams of energy that atomise, maim, blind, contaminate with sickness, or kill.
Any weapon using dangerously high frequencies of Sound, or simply extremely LOUD sound, dangerously high levels of Heat, or blinding Light.

**This list can and will be amended to add further weapons if I see fit.

POSSIBLE EXCEPTIONS

**Certain weapons may be allowed if a ted is sufficiently skilled, mature and responsible enough to use them properly as befits a ted of the League.

SWORDS--especially Rapiers.
SPEARS--never thrown or used to impale.
QUARTERSTAVES, TRUNCHEONS--used with restraint.
BOWS--using arrows that have blunted tips, and without trick tips containing explosives or poison.

**If a ted is allowed the use of such weapons and they begin acting recklessly with them, the privledge shall be withdrawn. Continued use of the weapon will result in BANNING from the League.
Those of us who use conventional weapons must be strong, agile, swift and highly skilled. We do not need to inflict bloodshed or break bones, and certainly never do so for amusement.
