To hunt the Monsters that hurt or kill Children is a grave business, and one that is slow to show success. I have hunted the foul hydra-headed Monster they call SIDS for many years now without sign of victory, yet I shall never cease my efforts.
Each time your person does something to support your hunt, you strike a blow against the beast, be it so small an action as to put a little money into a collection-box in a store that is for the charity they support, or so large as to go forth and work for the cause, organizing fund-raising events or even becoming a researcher to fight the Monster directly. Every blow, large or small, is important.
Do not lose your spirit, brave Hunters. And do not allow the hunt to consume you, make you unable to enjoy life at all. If there is now a new child in your person's family, give that child your protection as you once did the one for whom you grieve. You CAN be both Hunter and Protector. We are teds, and our primary purpose shall always be to comfort and protect children.
In our quests to destroy the Monsters, we use our weapons with deadly force. We must therefore train ourselves mind and body for this work perhaps more than any other teds, that we will not only strike as fierce and critical a blow as we may each time we find our Monster, but also to always keep our minds clear and calm. Vengeance must not consume us, and we must maintain complete control of our power so that no others shall be harmed in our hunts, and that we never forget ourselves and use that deadly level of attack when facing any other enemy than the Monsters. We bear a greater Responsibility than any other class of ted in the League.
