Matantei (Mythical Detective) Loki Ragnarok

-Character's name goes here-

-Title, or known as in the manga/anime(not based on real Norse myth). This states an important thing about the character-

-Slight character description

Loki

User ImageUser Image

God of Evil and Mischief

Loki was banished from the world of the Gods unto Earth, where he is turned into child form. As a living, he runs the Enjako Detective Agency with his son, Yamino / Jormungandr. Later in the story, his other son, Fenrir, joins them. Loki is confused why he was banned in the first place by Odin, since he and Odin were great friends.

People constantly annoy Loki, such as busting in his agency and causing chaos and noise. Though Loki may be depicted as evil, he is actually a kind-hearted little kid that sometimes have to lecture his own kids and is kawaii-ed by high-school girls and especially by Freya whenever he turns to his real form.

Loki is a very powerful magician that uses Levatein as a source of his powers. During the first series, he collects the aura of evil spirits to turn him back to a God. During the entire series, Loki finds out why Odin banished him and what is happening to the world of the gods: Ragnarok.

Spica [Angrboda]

User Image

A Giant

Spica is Angrboda's child form when she was sent to Earth. Mother to Fenrir, Yamino, and Hel, she is Loki's wife. She was dropped into Earth unexpectedly and stole Loki's muffins at first, in which Loki got mad, but was forced to let her stay in his house / detective agency headquarters. Spica gets captured by Utgard-Loki, and has some kind of relation to the moon.

Fenrir

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Giant Dog

First child of Loki and Angrboda / Spica: he is a giant dog that can swallow up heaven and Earth. Fenrir is depicted as a small black puppy dog that can talk to his brother and father, (but not other people). When he is angered, or his father is in danger, he transforms to his original form: a black wolf-dog four-five stories high.

Fenrir likes pickled cucumbers, likes to shed dog fur on his younger (or as he calls fussy) brother's shiny shoes.

Yamino [Jormungandr]

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Giant Serpent

Yamino accompanies his father on the duration which his father spends time one Earth. Currently, he is in human form. When his father is in danger, like Fenrir, he changes into his real form: the giant serpent.

Yamino likes to clean the house and cook. Once, when cleaning the house, he finds a flower that was sent by the Norns to kill Loki. But that particular plan failed. In a funny episode, Yamino enters a cooking contest against Heimdall and Freyr. Again, Loki was ambushed in that episode as well. Another thing Yamino does is he orders a lot. He likes to do mail-order for useless things. Such as: a retractable ladder, mushrooms from the mountains and other things.

Yamino is quite different from his serpent form. He is fussy and bossy when it comes to cleaning. But in serpent form, he likes to kick some enemy butt.

Punyan/Etchan

User Image

A Papermat

Loki summoned Punyan in front of Mayura's dad and was surprised that Mayura's dad could see his spell casting and Punyan himself. Punyan is invisible to those non-magic related, such as Mayura. He is a white flyring reature incapable of proper speech but could say, Loki-sama. Despite his looks, Punyan is quite intelligent and is praised by Loki. Punyan is even smarter than you Narugami-kun!

Punyan accompanies Loki wherever he goes, a mascot or side-kick.

Thor/Narugami

User ImageUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

God of Lightning and Thunder

Thor is the eldest son of Odin. He wield Mjolnir, the lightning hammer. But when he is on Earth, Mjolnir is in the form of a wooden stick. Thor was also sent as an assassin against Loki, but in the end, he sides with Loki instead, becoming one of Loki's trustable friends.

During his time on Earth, he joins Mayura in school. There, he is known as Narugami. But Loki calls him: Narukami-kun (kami for god and -kun for a familiarity). Narugami is usually always looking for part-time jobs, whether it is selling donuts, working in a cafe or a ramen noodle shop, you'll be sure he'll be there. He can never get a permanent job, and he lives in poverty. His house is filled with garbage and he takes care of a small white cat that is under all the thrash.

Narugami is kind-hearted, but when Odin awakens his inner lust to kill, he tries to eliminate Loki with lightning strikes or something like that (it seems Loki's assassins wanted to kill Loki but were swayed by Loki himself and sided with him).

Faladyne
As it says in the manga...
"Narukami vs. Narugami
As was explained by the author, Loki's continual pronunciation of Thor's name here on Earth is actually a pun. Thor is the god of thunder -- in Japanese, "god" is kami and "thunder" is kaminari, which gives Loki two reasons to stress the kami aspect of this name."
Found in "The Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok vol 2" by Sakura Kinos**ta.

Mayura

User Image

Mystery-Crazy Teen

Fushigi Mystery!

Mayura first encountered Loki during the first episode, where she meets a doll that has powers. With Loki's help, they solved the mystery. Since then, Mayura has been sticking around with Loki so that she could encounter bigger mysteries.

Kazumi/Heimdall

User Image

Angry God: eye got poked out by Loki

Heimdall wishes to destroy Loki. He was manipulated by Odin who told him that Loki should be blamed for stealing his right eye. Heimdall wishes to revenge his eye and kill Loki.

Heimdall is a weirded out kid in the series. He makes plans to prevent him and Freyr from leaving in poverty (he and Freyr live together). One way they tried to earn money is by joining the cooking contest to win the money prize. Sometimes, Sakura Kinoshita also makes Heimdall the middle of the joke, which clashes with his personality therefore, making the humor laughable.

Heimdall's powers consist of powered clawed hands and controlling eagles. Heimdall doesn't fight Loki at every chance he gets: he even works side by side with Loki when they were finding out the mystery of the moon. But whenever he gets in the lust for blood or Odin bribes him, he goes crazy and does all in his power to kill of Loki and rip him apart.

Freyr

User Image

Brother to Freya

Freyr was one of the assassins sent to kill Loki in the first series. He was called, Phantom Thief Freyr. Freyr has a secret heart for Mayura and calls her, Divine Beauty. In truth, Freyr sent himself to Earth so that he could find his sister, Freya, who was banished to Earth.

Freyr used rune magic; one of the weapons he uses in the series is a rune gun and a run rifle. He has a pet robo-pig called Gullinbursti. Another one of Freyr's items is a huge ship he summons, but after five seconds, it was destroyed by the giant Buddha statue.

Freya

Goddess of love and beauty

Freya is the goddess of love and beauty. Spica is kept away from her. When Freya was banished to Earth, she was incomplete, thus, she took to a body of a girl called Reiya, who was supposedly to die. Freya can only be awoken from Reiya's body by her own will, but during later in the series, she masters this technique.

Freya really likes Loki. When Freya pleaded to Odin to UN-banish loki, Odin got mad at her and banished her as well, thus the reason she was sent to Earth.

Urd, Verdandi, Skuld

User Image

The Norns

Urd was a swan. She could see in the past, present, and future. Before Loki was banished, he used to go over to where the Norns live and visit the swan and to be able to meet the goddess of fate. Urd wasn't able to communicate with Loki, so she transformed to human, giving up some things she desired most. Came then Verdandi and Skuld, Verdandi now owns the present, and Skuld the future. They are the Norns, each one as the other. Urd now has a human form and could communicate with Loki, since she is in love with him: but sadly, that was a mistake on her part as she states herself.

The Norns were one of the assassins sent to eliminate Loki, each of them devising their own plans and carrying it out. All of it fails though.

Odin & Baldur

User Image

King of the Gods

He was the one who banished Loki. Odin told Loki to get and steal Heimdall's eye, which could see anything. What Odin saw through that eye was Loki destroying the world of the Gods and with it, all the other gods. After seeing this, Odin banished Loki: instead of killing him. Odin didn't want to kill Loki to protect him, since they were great friends back in the world of the gods. But Loki ceased to understand his banishment, thus then did Odin need to assassinate him: which all turned out as a failure.

Baldur is Odin's son. In one small explicit in the manga, it shows Odin collapsing and Urd helping him. Urd had asked what happened, and Odin replied that Baldur was trying to take over his body to own Urd.

Utgard-Loki

User Image

King of the Giants

Ut-gard-Loki is Loki's past (the manga wasn't quite clear on this). He wants to become one with Loki, yet Loki refuses his offer. Pushed to extremes, Utgard kidnaps Spica to bribe Loki, but as usual- Loki saves her in time. Then Utgard-Loki and Loki were to play a dice of life game by Freya?s rune. Loki wins of course. Giving up, Utgard-loki didn?t want to do anything with Loki anymore. A certain Norn was making him join with Loki so that they become one and more powerful...

Hel

User Image

Goddess of the Underworld

Hel is the youngest child of Loki and Angrboda / Spica. She rules the underworld and loves her parents very much. Constantly, she watches her father from below, as to defend Loki from death if he dies.

Loki is the top assassin in this manhwa. After there was a massacre at his guild's hideout, in which no one there survived, he went in search of the one's whose name was written in blood on the wall- 'Chaos'
Luca Giovanni
He is part of a group of assassins within the guild called the "Assassins of the Cross", these asassins are not supposed to know about each other. The one who killed everyone in the guild was Skurai. He framed Chaos so that Loki would try and kill him to exact his revenge. His weapon is an extending sword, which can extend infinitely, to my knowledge.

Chaos
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

(description from book)
The reincarnation of the fallen god Balder, Chaos has been told by his divine mother, Frigg, that the fate of the world rests in his hands. He may also be tied to the legendary "Dragon Knights."
Candle_Wick
Chaos resides in the city of Fayon, where he watches over and trains Iris Irene. Chaos is actually the reincarnation of the fallen god Baldur, however, he has no memory of his past. He is a Rune Knight and wields an enchanted sword named Vision. Fenris is searching for Sentinel Breeze, Baldur's true weapon and a magical sword of great power.

Iris
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

(description from book)
Iris would have bencame the new leader of the city of Fayon...that is, if it weren't destroyed be her sister, the Valkyrie Sarah Irine. She now follows her close friend Chaos.
Candle_Wick
The decendants of the Four Constellations were scattered across the lands and live in many places. Fayon, the village where Iris lives, is the 'capital' of these villages. Iris is the heir to the city of Fayon and the powers of the Four Constellations. Not only that, but Iris' father is the head of Fayon, and therefore the other villages too. Iris has been trained to be a cleric, a magic user who can call upon the power of the aesir (the gods). Spoiler: Iris and Sara the valkyrie are actually sisters. Both of them share the same family name and Sara called the Chief of Fayon father. Both have the same father but different mothers.

Fenris
We had a picture, but it died. crying

(description from book)
The reincarnation of the Wolf God, Fenris helped Chaos realize his identity. She now follows him on his quest.
Candle_Wick
Fenris Fenrir is the reincarnation of the Wolf God, currently in the form of a warlock. Despite the book's use of the word, the word 'God' does not seem to imply the same thing as the gods whose fall is near - indeed, Fenris is one of the heroes in direct opposition to the gods. Fenris' character is based on Fenrisulfr. She is searching for the reincarnation of her love, Baldur. She summons magic by calling phrases such as "Demon light blaze!", and all the spells seem to have in common a 'dark', or 'unholy' theme. She also seems to sometimes call upon elemental spirits to lend her power. She commands Laevatein, the 'rod of destruction,' - a powerfully enchanted staff that seems to be sentient, although it expresses little intelligence beyond affirming her orders.

Lidia
We had a picture, but it died. crying

(description from book)
An "expert treasure hunter" be trade, Lidia "borrows" whatever she can get her hands on while she looks for bigger hauls. She seeks Alfeim, the ultamite bounty, that her father died trying to find.
Candle_Wick
While in reality Lidia is a petty thief, she insists that she is an "expert treasure hunter" by trade. She claims that she is more interested in ancient relics, rather than someone's wallet, but often complains about her meager wealth and often has her pet, Sessy, a cat with two tails, picking pockets for her. She is searching for the lost riches of the ancient kingdom of Thralgard, which she promised to her father upon his deathbed to find. Lidia carries her father's Treasure Hunter's Bible with her, which she uses to identify and appraise magical items. Unlike the heroes of the story, Lidia possesses no real battle skills and prefers to run away and live another day rather than running recklessly into the midst of a conflict.

Bad Guys

Sarah
We had a picture, but it died. crying

(description from book)
One of the 12 Valkyries of Valhalla, Sara was once the heir to Fayon until the villiage elders cast her out in favor of her sister, Iris. Sarah returned to Fayon and destroyed everything, including her parents.
Candle_Wick
A powerful valkyrie who confronts Fenris Fenrir in order to stop her from recovering Sentinel Breeze, reuniting with Baldur, and initiating Ragnarok. While Fenris escapes with said sword, Sara tracks her down to Fayon, where Sara has a bigger advantage than Fenris realizes: Sara was born in Fayon. Spoiler: She is actually Iris's half-sister, whose mother was killed, and barely escaped the same fate as her mother. Bitter and vengeful, she has no hesitation in destroying her father and village, though her father dies begging Iris to forgive Sara.

Bijou
We had a picture, but it died. crying

(description from book)
A witch who began sacrificing her body at a young age in order to increase her occult powers. An abomination of her former self, Bijou now serves Himmelmez, lending her cruel and unorthadox techniques to Freya's cause.

Himmelmez
User Image

(discription from book)
One of Freya's strongest generals, Himmelmez's arrogance is justified by her effectiveness. All who stand against her army has fallen, only to join her undead legion. Perhaps her only weakness is her overconfidence.

Skurai
We had a picture, but it died. crying

(description from book)
Skuria follows the will of his sword, Talatsu, that seeks the one blood that will quench its thirst. He has an enormous bounty on his head.

*Pictures are hard to come by on this one. Any and all pictures of this manwha will be greatly appreciated

My Cat Loki

User ImageUser Image

Loki

Quote:
Loki is timid, though surprisingly caring in his own offbeat way. His previous family neglected him, often going days without feeding Loki, leaving him out in all weather, scolding and beating him for things he didn’t do. As the series starts, Loki doesn’t trust those around him, often not wanting to be touched, for fear of being abused again. He soon lets his guard down as he learns that his new home is far different than his previous one—it’s loving, comforting and stable.

User ImageUser Image

Ameya

Quote:
Ameya is a gentle, shy and caring man, often lost in his world, masking his true feelings of guilt, loss and despair over the death of his beloved “brother” Luka, his childhood pet cat. His passion is art, whether creating or observing it, but after Luka’s death, Ameya lost much of his motivation and passion. Perhaps finding Loki will be the key to Ameya’s return to the art world...

User Image

Ms. Chacha

Quote:
Ms. Chacha is a quirky, flirtatious, enthusiastic go-getter! She has been Ameya’s agent since the beginning of his career and can be credited for much of his success. She sets up a massive art gala as a way to try to motivate him to start painting again. Initially overjoyed about Loki’s presence in Ameya’s life, she becomes a bit jealous of the affection and attention Ameya gives to his new friend (and Ameya’s odd way of seeing the cat). Is she really content to be just Ameya’s agent and friend, or deep down inside does she want something more?

Luka

Quote:
Luka is quite the opposite in personality from Loki. His smile and often-sunny disposition is what got Ameya thru a tough childhood, one filled with teasing, low self-esteem and loneliness. Luka was always there to bring a smile to Ameya’s face, to cheer him up and comfort him from loneliness.
