**With its hardwood floors and a flat roof, the tavern is the heart of a small town. The bartender stands dutifully behind the bar counter awaiting an order of either food or drink. Stools wait at the bar and small tables are skattered around the room for more private discussions. A few pictures of famous gaians are hung on the wall and a rather large window gives a lovely view of the outside. Theres a narrow winding staircase in the corner leading out onto the flat roof.
A cheerful waitress walks by and gives you a quick, welcoming smile before she disapears through a door marked employees only. A few glance up as you enter and possibly a few say hello.**

**Naomi walked through the door way of the tavern and sat at the bar. She pulled out an extremly thick book and began to read. The bartender placed the usual, Suicide drink, in front of her and walked away. Se took a sip with out looking awya from her book. She was entirely bored but found nothing better to do except read.**

**Naomi snapped the book shut. She couldn't consintrate. Instead, she stirred her drink with a thin straw untill it swirled and threatened to spill over. The tavern was oddly quiet. She couldn't decide if she enjoyed the peace or hated it. Very self contradicting some times.**

Naomi took another sip from her own drink and sighed. The bar was so slow at the moment....**

Naomi took another sip from her mixture and sighed.** "It is quite slow today, huh?"

But I''ve called this place home longer than I can remember....but come to think of it, I don''t thinktheres ever really been anyone like a ''mayor'' here. Just people who don''t put up with theivery or crime and what not." **Naomi shifted uneasily on her bar stool untill she finally pulled a small silver box from the inside of her boot and placed it on the counter next to her drink.**

The village had once thrived with many, many people according to her excellent memory untill one event she'd rather not think about. But now the small village began atttracting new people but it was still small. She had seen the new villager as she had the others, but ofcourse, this one didn't seem normal.** "As long as hes no murderer, I don't mind. Now, if you would excuse me, I have something to deliver to the Vampiric Mansion--" **Naomi realized she should have left the last sentence out as soon as it passed her lips. She hastily took the silver box from the counter and left the bar, heading toward the Vampiric Mansion.**

*Skree entered the tavern silently, ignoring the stares and hushed wispers from the other patrons earned by his wings and horns as he made his way towards a seat in the corner. He had grown accustom to this sort of reaction to his presence long ago and didn't really care as long as noone tried anything stupid.*
