I've was watching this VH1 special on Buffy the other week called like "The class of..." or something like that, and It had a ton of info about Buffy, including a lot of things I never realized. The big one that got me was that they said in Faith and Buffy's shared coma dream, Faith says something like "Little miss Muffet counting down from 7-3-0", which at the time Buffy(and I) took as random riddles. Turns out what Faith was saying is that she was counting down 730 days (read two years) until the end of season 5, when we all know what happens...
I noticed yet another coma dream hint the other day in the episode when Faith wakes up. Buffy and her are making the bed and Faith says "Gotta get everything nice for little sister", or something like that. Which is of course a reference to Dawn coming.
Has anyone else ever picked up on a hidden message or portent of doom while watching or re-watching Buffy or Angel? How about things they never quite explained?

I have a whole book on this, and I'd give you exact details on stuff if I weren't too lazy to get up and find it.
But there's one episode where Oz is talking to willow and says something about animal crackers. He asks why only the monkey wears pants and says something like "I know you want my monkey pants."
Apparently, that line was in a dream Seth green had and Alysson Hannigan said it to him (In his dream.) So he begged Joss Whedon to put it in for him as an inside joke for him and Alysson Hannigan.

Yes, there are several books on the "hidden meanings" in buffy and I actually have read a lot of them. Critical essays are so much fun to read because It makes me feel like I'm a little less of a spaz because there are other people out there that are writing really interesting and intellectual things about Buffy and Angel. I'll post Book titles and authors later....when I get home from work!

I've read some funny things before about Buffy. Like the fact that Sunnydale high is the same school they filled Beverly Hills 90201 at XD And also during the filming of the episode graduation part 2 they made SO much noise, that they were banned from ever filming in that town again.

That would be the one thing that might make me buy then..as it's still on twice a day here, so get to watch it plenty.

Almost everything in "Restless" (the dream episode) had a specific meaning for each of the characters. One of the coolest, and most morbid, is the part where Buffy discovers her mom living in the wall, and Joyce is talking to her through a hole in it. Really creepy foreshadowing of her death gonk
