Welcome to OMG!Buffy. The title says everything - this is an OMG!RP for Buffy the vampire slayer and Angel. What is an OMG!RP, you may ask? It's an RP in which two sets of characters exist - the IC (in character, or canon) and OOC (out of character, or fanon). They interact, and much crack is born of the combination. Trust me. For a prime example of an OMG RP, check out OMG!Harry Potter

The premise for this RP? It's set post-season four Buffy, with an AU fifth season, and post season one of Angel with an AU second season. A more correct title may be the OMG!Angel&Buffy RP, but it's not quite as catchy. Feel free to pick characters from both shows and find a way to bring them together... After all for some reason this menace is affecting all of them!

Scenario 1: In the aftermath of the fall of the initiative we come to find out they had been collecting DNA samples from the Scoobies and studying each of their unique abilities? Unfortunately, something went terribly wrong, and EVERYBODY got cloned!

Scenario 2: We can always fall back on the old failsafe that Willow messed up a spell, physically manifesting alter egos of people whose destiny revolves around Angel and Buffy. You guys can pick one and run with it.

However we decide to explain it, the simple fact is there is now two of every character running around free! The out-of-character one could end up acting like anything! Sweet fluffy Angel who likes to write poetry and go on moonlit picnics? Sure! A Buffy who has decided she hates men, shaves her head and starts pursuing Amy the rat witch? Why the hell not! Whatever the case our beloved in character characters will have to deal with it and the chaos that ensues.
RULES

1. In case it wasn't clear enough already, this is an AU. It's set after fourth season, but is not really fifth season. So events are not necessarily happening in the same way that they did (or at all).

2. Apply for your character using the form found both below. Yes, you have to write a sample post. This is so that I know you can use good grammar and spelling (and, if you're an IC, if you can be in character).

3. Two characters per person, at most. Trust me, it gets hard enough with one character sometimes. You can't have BOTH versions of a character, though (so if you're IC!Buffy no OOC!Buffy for you, or vice versa). Make sure you say which version of the character you want to be!

4. NO original characters. NONE. nada. zip. zilch. All characters must be mentioned somewhere in canon.

5. Check the character list. This shouldn't be hard, since I have it here and in the first post. (It should also be a given.)

6. Please, no out-of-character drama between members. (Drama within the RP is welcomed, to a certain extent. No, you can't stake other characters.) I'm watching you.

7. Like everything on Gaia there is no material of an adult nature allowed within the posts themselves (no sex - innuendo away, but smut is offscreen).

8. Canon is your friend. It may be crack, and it may be OOC, but there are basic rules of canon, and following them is a good thing.

How to RP

1. Apply for a character.

2. Do all main RPing in the main thread(we may have several threads for RPing in different places, or two separate threads for Buffy and Angel, with copious amounts of crossing over).

3. Role-playing is done in third-person past-tense with speaking in quotes, unless everyone decides they would rather do it another way.

4. No god modding. This means no controlling another character in your post. For the most part if a character is not being RPed by anyone then they are just plain not around. If the character is really important to a situation one of the RP heads may play them, or you may ask if you can temporarily play them.

There was a twitchy weirdness to her walk, as if walking on broken glass and not being all that bothered by it... just affected.

Occasionally, she would stop and look around, her black eyes searching the darkness all around. Twisting her neck in an animalistic manner and at times even sniffing the air.

"Closer." she murmered to anything that might be listening, a small smirk briefly touched her blackend lips.

Faith stalked the Sunnydale graveyard. Alone. Faith was used to this, being alone. But still...There was always the thought that Buffy might wanna patrol with her.
Faith stopped and shook the thoughts out of her mind. 'Why would Buffy want anything to do with me?' she thought to herself.
A shadow surrounded her and Faith grabbed a stake to prepare herself. The shadow lunged for her and Faith was ready. A punch here, a kick there and Faith was away. She stabbed the stake into the "shadow's" heart and waited for the dust. But the demon still stood at her.
"Stakes. no good for demons." Faith spoke to the air.
