Yuki waddled along the path that led from his home, heading towards a grape soda stream that he had found the other day. A large heavy looking back pack was tied to him, almost the whole size of him or more. Especially with him being so scrawny, it made him look almost turtle like. He raised a shaky paw to straiten his glasses, then continued on with a sigh. It'd be nice to sit and sketch by the river, so he was determined to haul all of his art supplies there.

Ness had just been down by the grape river itself; it just so happened. She was strutting on by. She had been keeping an eye out as she had been making lots of new friends in this area lately. Then, she saw him. Not a new friend.. but one she had been making off and on. "Hey... Is that little Yuki?"
Ness skittered over to where Yuki was. "Hey, you need some help there little buddy?" She rubbed the top of his head with the tip of her nose. Yuki often reminded her of herself when she was little. She was determined to be to him who she had always wanted someone to be to her; but noone ever did become that for her.

Yuki blinked up at her, eyes widdening in suprise. She.. actually remembered him? And better yet, seemed happy to see him! He stared at her fondly for a moment then blushing and raising to stand on his hind legs, waving his large paws around. "I.. I'm fine! I'm used to i-" And, the poor dear.. After flailing for a moment, he had lost a bit of his balance, and the weight of his backpack made him stumble backwards, falling on his back and looking like a turtle that had rolled onto it's back. His scrawny limbs flailed around a bit embrassedly.
"Oh.. O-oh my..."

Ness smiled kindly at him, and then she walked around behind him. She bent her head down and bit gently into his backpack. She picked it up and sat him up right. Then, she sat behind him as to prevent him from falling. "Don't worry. If you fall again, I'll catch you next time. So.. what's all this you're carrying around?"
Ness started to prod Yuki's bag. She was extremely curious about what could be in a bag. She never saw any numas carrying around big stuff like this.

Yuki blushed and smiled up at her, rubbing the back of his neck with his large paw. "T-thanks Ms. Ness...." He murmured, then started walking along wobbily to the stream again. "It's my art supplies, Miss... I was on my way to paint a bit by the stream..."

Ness who now seemed immensely curious as she had never seen a numa paint before. "Oh yeah? Mind if I come and keep you company? I didn't know you were an artist Yuki. No wonder you have such a bright spirit in you." She smiled at him with that nurturing friendly smile that often found her face whenever she was around him.

Yuki continued on, glancing up to smile at her. "Sure, if you wanna. I don't mind at all, Ms. Ness! Your presence would be very inspiring." He nodded then continued on, not stopping until he had reached a nice cozy spot beside the stream. He took off the backpack and unzipped it, digging through it for the right supplies.

Ness found a spot close enough to Yuki to watch out over him.. from predators and mean numas. She was also close to the stream, where she could lay down on the grass and drink out of the stream. Times like that made her feel especially lazy. It was like all life was about was in fact drinking out of streams and rivers... and being found by random numas.
Ness just smiled as she was enjoying her day with Yuki. "Let me know if you need any help.. ok Yuki? You just tell me what you want Ness to do.. and I'll do it." She just smiled as she laid her face down on top of her front arms which were stretched out in front of her, her tail waifing around behind her.
