Has anyone else seen or heard of this movie? I have not seen it, and I did not hear of it until last night when my friends were talking to me.

I have heard of this! Mel brooks made this Broadway production, to which Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick made a film movie called (duhr) "The Producers".
It's about a Broadway producer (or -s in the movie case) who wants to be famous. "Sure I could make a hit, but the successful producers dn't get remembered for long. The ones who make flops! They get remembered forever!" So he finds a guy, who is out of his mind by the way, that wrote a musical called "Springtime for Hitler". Hilarity ensues, yadda yadda yadda, it should be watched.

Yes. I should indeed watch it. It sounds like something completely hilarious. Hopefully, this summer, I will.

Nathan Lane really worries me sometimes. ::shakes his head:: Still, I will watch it eventually.

He's funny is what it is. You should have seen him in the Bird Cage. It's... hilarious.

I saw a bit of that movie. I was laughing. He and Robin Williams make a great gay couple. ::giggles::

Nathan Lane is a great character actor. But he's for another subject.
Our Lord Mel redefines comedy with every movie he makes. He could take a no talent, nobody shmuck, put a script in his hand, force a camera on him and make him into a comedy legend.

I Watched this recently actually. It's so funny! To put it mildly: "It's a movie about a play, based on a play about a play, based on a movie about a play"
There are so many easter eggs in this one it's not funny! Okay it's hilarious but still!
"Adolph Elizabeth Hitler?!"

My theatre textbook mentions this production so many times in the first chapter. I was excited.
