Ness had been flying on her way home and started to land within a few yards of the door. Then, she thought she caught the sight of orange running through the fields nearby. She rubbed her eyes not remembering any of her nearby friends or neighbors who had orange fur.
Naturally, as it happened with Ness, this made her curious. Seeing as her curiosity was something to not be denied; she went after it. She got on all fours and chased into the grass to try and follow the orange as she saw it moving. A numa? She then gave a good dash in to speed up around and in front of it. A numa indeed. "Halt! Who goes there? ^w^

Biom danced happily in the air as Yojimbo quickly headed in the direction he thought was home. He passed by a few cottages here and there until he came to a field that seemed somewhat familiar. He paused for a moment, then quickened his pace, so he could reach home before the sun set. He would never find his way home if night came. However, his progress was haulted as a blue blur approached and gave a stout statement. He turned his body in an awkward motion that made him trip over slightly. He came to face a sky blue female numa. He looked at her for a moment and then rubbed his head.
"Yo." he replied as Biom scuttled above his head.

Ness looked a little confused. "Yo who? I asked who are ya? Do you live around this parts? I don't recognize you..." She watched him curiously. He had a fish too. Did all the males have fish? How unfair. Ness wanted a fish too.
She sat there waving her tail about in her friendly, outgoing, but slightly firty nature. "My name is Ness... I make it my business to know who's out prowling around my neighborhood."

Yojimbo looked at the other Numa curiously. She had an odd wrist accessory with a little wing on it. When he started to inquire about it, Biom scuttled in his face and scolded him for not properly introducing himself.
Yojimbo then shrugged his shoulders and turned to Ness.
"Oh, I'm Yojimbo and this is Biom. He's a bit feisty, but still tolerable."
He grabbed Biom and pawed at his little fins.
"I live somewhere in that direction."
He pointed towards the northern end of the grape soda river.
"My cottage is nestled in the middle of a clearing of the lollipop woods."
He looked around, focusing on the little cottage near by.

Ness looked off the way he pointed. She was familiar with that area since she knew other numas who lived that way as well. She smiled at him friendly. "I see.. so what brings you all the way out here? It's gonna get dark soon. You will be ok to make it home by yourself? You want me to walk you? I could fly back just as easy and all." She offered smiling.
She started to think in the back of her brain if he wasn't in a hurry maybe he'd want to come in for ice cream.. and maybe play some games with her. After all, they were really close to her house; and that was always a thought she had in meeting everyone.

Yojimbo looked in the direction he pointed. He could have swore that when he started home, he had headed in that direction. He turned to Ness and contemplated her statement.
"Well since it's almost sunset, I guess I'll have to wait since home is so far off.
What do you for fun around here?"
Biom scuttled his face once more. Barking gibberish at him.
"Oh! Thanks for yous hospitality!"
Yojimbo patted Biom as the little fish gave him a menacing glare.

His answer made her eyes widen with delight. It was just what she had hoped he might say. Her tail flicked around in a fury, and she walked up closer to him.
"I play video games.. and dance... and... eat ice cream..." She stood there swishing her hips to the side and twirling her wiimote which was always with her conviently for times like this when her hand needed something to spin.
"You like ice cream?" She looked at him friendly. He wasn't leaving. And, she was sure he was coming.

Yojimbo looked curiously at the other Numa as her faced brightened up. He had thought before that his staying for awhile would be a burden; however, this was definitely a pleasant surprise. He listened intently, or rather as intently possible for his attention span. He perked up at the thought of ice cream.
"I love ice cream! Sea salt is my favorite flavor. What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?"

Ness gave a delighted giggle. "Um.. I don't know. I like any ice cream I've ever had.. but I really like superman. And... bubble gum.. and ... chocolate with peanut butter on it... and .. coffee flavored ice cream.... sea salt? I never tried that one.. maybe my human has some?" ^_^
Ness was just grinning from ear to ear. Then, she turned and got on all fours running towards her house, stopping halfway. She stood up and waved at him. "FOLLOW ME!!!!"

Yojimbo tried to remember the taste of each flavor Ness named off. He could recall Superman, Bubble gum, and Coffee, bu the other flavors didn't ring a bell in the Numa's mind. He then thought of sea salt ice cream and how to describe it to Ness. However, before he could start she started off towards her cottage. He waited for a moment, then as she signaled he followed her quickly. Biom followed behind eagerly as well because he was a bigger fan of sweets than Yoijimbo.
"What else do you want to do besides munch on ice cream?" Yojimbo asked excitedly.

Ness paused before she opened the door to the house. "Hmm.. well.. do you like to dance? Cuz, I dance a lot... I like music." She was still grinning quite from ear to ear.
She opened the door leaving it open for him. She scampered up to the big fridge her human kept in there always full of ice cream at all times since the two of them regularly ate lots of it. She was looking through some boxes and found something.
"Hey... I think I see something that says seasalt.. but it doesn't look like normal ice cream. It's ... on a ... stick?" She brought one out. Which was actually a popsicle that was on a stick. There were two in it, and she opened them up, snapped in two, and held one up for him to come take.

Yojimbo paused at the entrance to the quaint little cottage. He watched as Ness hurried to the icebox and brought back a sea salt pop. As she broke it in two, he quickly approached her and eagerly took the salty sweet pop. He broke off a small piece for Biom and then both of them ate half of their helping in one bite. This wasn't the best plan as Yojimbo immediately got a bad case of brain freeze. He rubbed his head and shrunk down for a moment while Biom giggled at his Numa companion.
"Owww... cold cold!" he spouted as he tried to warm his brain.
He quickly became embarrassed and looked up at Ness and gave her a dopey smile. Then, as to avoid his odd reaction, he spurted out:
"How do you like it?"

Ness was often rather compassionate and quick to sooth a numa who she found sad or hurt.. and if it caught her while off guard or while she wasn't paying attention. This of course was in fact the case with Yojimbo.
She slumped down to where he was and tried to rub his head with her hand that wasn't eating the popsicle. "Ohhh... are you ok? Did the ice cream hurt your tummy?" Her eyes were watching him carefully.
The dopey smile made her sigh with relief. "Oh... yeah. I like it. Sweet AND salty at the same time." She smiled eating it and petted Yojimbo's head just to be sure he was ok.

Yojimbo stood back up to face Ness as his small case of brain freeze eased. He squatted at Biom as the little fish was still highly amused by his dopey companion. He rubbed his head once more and turned to Ness.
"It's a great combination of flavor. Plus, I like the way it makes your tongue feel funny after eating it."
He then took the last little bite of ice cream left and used the remaining popsicle stick to clean his canines.
"So, what kind of music do you dance to? I thought you mentioned something about dancing earlier."
He then teased Biom by take the popsicle stick and poking him with it. This greatly annoyed the little fish.

Ness just giggled at his mannerisms. They were light and carefree. She couldn't think of anyone of another disposition she'd rather have fun with.
She looked up at the dancing. "Oh yeah.. Well... my human has a lot of music on her thing over here... but.. I like the ones that are like the ddr game we have. I think they call it.... Techno? or.. House.. club? It's just really fast paced... Makes me hyper..."
Then, she thought about what he said about making the tongue feel funny. She wanted to find something to look at her mouth. She spotted a mirror on the desk nad flew over to get it.
She looked up at Yojimbo. "Hey.. it made the inside of my mouth blue."
