...you've ever been on?
For any condition, depression, psychosis, anything related to mental illness, have you found a drug you really like, that really works and/or doesn't have any bothersome side effects? Have any come close?

I take about 4 for my anxiety. No ssri up to that point worked, so he put me on a combination. Neurontin, Wellbutrin XL, Klonopin, and Risperdal.

Right now I'm taking Lamictal, and it seems to be working really well. The only thing I dislike are the hot flashes I get, but it's not that bad.

Lamictal = heart
Been taking it for a year and it's like being a whole new person. Sometimes I get jittery but overall it works well for me.
Prozac made me manic. So I guess it worked too well...

AraTeran Prozac made me manic. So I guess it worked too well... Hooked on Prozac worked for me! biggrin But it made me nowhere near manic. neutral I might go back to it, or to Zoloft, before I give up on SSRIs. I was happiest on a tricyclic (doxepin), but I was also fattest. gonk

The only med that ever helped me was Olanzapine, but it made me really fat. It did what it was supposed to do, but I didn't like the rapid weight gain part.

I started taking Prozac about five weeks ago. Now it's just kicked in and I'm quite positive it's the best medicine I've ever been on.

I've been on 3 meds for depression. I've had Effexor, Paxil CR, and Wellbutrin XL. The Wellbutrin is the only one that even came close to having a real effect, so I'm still taking it now. I took Effexor for 6 months before ditching it, and the Paxil was for a whole year. I may as well have never taken either of them at all.

Side note, hopefully not too OT sweatdrop I started back on 50 mg Zoloft a few days ago. I didn't even get any shocks, which is cool. Also, I have inexplicably gone from 155 lbs to 153, which is unheard of for me--I never lose weight, no matter what I do. I've also been ill, so that might be it, but you never know! I'll be up to 100 mg in a few days. YAY ZOLOFT. whee

I'm on 10mg of Abilify now, and it's working great (knock on wood). I'm on 5mg of Zyprexa a day, too, but I've already been losing weight. Abilify's expensive--very--but I'm going to look into the local mental health center.

Personally I swear on Seraquil. Its the best drug I've ever taken because it works as both a mood stabilizer for my bipolar disorder and as a mild antipsychotic for my borderline personality.
Prozac also works wonders for my depression. I know prozac is old fashioned but no newer combination drugs did anything for me

I am currently on Zyprexa. It worked for a while with me, but now it only works slightly as the symptoms are coming back.
I am not too happy with the major weight gain. (70 lbs) It's time to find another drug.
