Yeah, pairing is strange, but I thought why not? No one has ever thought of it before. This story takes place after Shizuma graduates. ______________________________________________________________
"I'll always think of you." Nagisa pondered the phase over and over again in her head. Always she thought Shizuma would leave her and now she was trying to get that doupt out of her head. Well, she wasn't that constant at the beginning. She would go out with anyone. Why I'm I thinking this? Shizuma will always love me. Hince why she was on this walk. Suddenly, she realized where she was. She was by the tree where she met Suzimima.
A girl was by the tree, and Nagisa came up to her. "Are you lost?" Nagisa asked as she touched the girl's shoulder. She was shocked as her hand went though.
"No, but may I ask where Shizuma is?"
"Shizuma just graduated." Nagisa answered.
"Then I was too late then." The girl looked defeated, like she was about to cry but couldn't. She looked strong.
"What is your name then?" Nagisa asked.
"Kaori." She answered. Nagisa realized that this was her ghost. She was looking for Shizuma and she took her. Tears streamed down her face.
"What's wrong?" Kaori asked.
"Nothing," Nagisa brushed away her tears. The least she could do was be here for Kaori now. Strangly, Nagisa wasn't freaked out by Kaori's ghost. "Hey, why don't you stick with me since Suzimima's gone and all?"
"Why not? I rather not be lonely and you seem like a nice person." Kaori answered. Nagisa's head started to hurt. Just like it did with Shizuma. Why? I love her. Why did she show up? Shizuma was posed to be my only one. I even gave up the etoile election for her. Nagisa passed out.

Since you asked...the first chapter was kinda short. Sorry. redface ____________________________________________________________
Nagisa woke up in the invermatory, half expecting Tamao-chan to be by her bedside, tricking her to do something she didn't want to do. Instead, she saw Kaori distracting her.
"A real ghost. I never saw a real ghost before." Tamao-chan said as she tried to grab Kaori but failed. This only made her want to catch her more.
Nagisa had time to compose herself and stood up, not feeling that bad after all. "Bye Tamao-chan." She said as she rushed out of the door.
By the time Tamao realized it, Nagisa was gone. "Nagisa get back here!" Tamao-chan screamed as she went after her. Kaori stopped dancing in front of her and drifted out of the window.
Nagisa was already far off and beyond Tamao's reach but she wasn't off the hook. Behind her was Kaori. Apparently, being a ghost had its avantages. In attition to going though material objects, you can travel faster.
"What are you doing here Kaori?" Nagisa pointed at her.
"You can't leave a sick person alone, can you? You don't know what will happen. I know this from experenice."
"That's right, you were sick when you were at Miator." Nagisa blurted out. It was too late when she realized her mistake.
"You knew me all along? From whom?" Kaori asked.
"I heard your story from Maduki. Shizuma couldn't tell me." Nagisa remembered it. She felt so betrayed. She couldn't understand then, but she knew why now that Shizuma couldn't talk. Kaori was like an angel, and it seemed forrbitten to talk about her. She was just too perfect, unlike her. She wreaked Shizuma's heart once, and she was about to do the same to Kaori.
Please don't ask, Kaori about how I know Shizuma. I don't want to hurt you, I really don't.
"How do you know Shizuma?" Kaori asked.
The treaded question that must be answered. She'll find out about it from others Nagisa if you don't tell her. It still doesn't clear up my conicous. I'll still feel bad but I have to do it.
"Shizuma is my..." Nagisa stopped then countinued, "girlfriend."
Kaori was this time the one to collasp. Her eyes looked down to the ground, but yet, she didn't cry. "I guess she had to move on." Kaori said in course voice.
"I'm sorry, really."
"Its okay Nagisa. Its okay. I've been though worse."
Nagisa finally saw something. Kaori needed someone to cry on. She needed a shoulder, just like Nagisa needed Tamao when Shizuma when she wasn't there.
"You know, its okay to cry. It doesn't mean you are defended." Nagisa offered her hand.
Kaori collasped in her arms and started to cry. "I just came back so I could see her again. I stayed strong and never cryed so she could never see me weak in spirit since my body was already weak."
Nagisa held Kaori close to her body. "Its going to be alright."

Nagisa was dreaming in her bed. Kaori was near the church, just drifting. Apparently, ghosts had no need for sleep. Go figure. The dream began as a normal dream but ever so slowly turned into a dream about Kaori.
It started off inncoent enough until the last meeting ended. Nagisa saw Kaori in front of the church, front of what seemed to be an aundiance. It faded away, and Kaori was alone in the church. Nagisa reached out to touch her shoulder, and it was solid.
"Why are you not a ghost?" Nagisa asked.
"When did I ever die?" Kaori replied.
Before Nagisa knew it, she approached Kaori and pulled her close to her. Kaori didn't try to get away, in fact, it seemed she was getting closer to Nagisa. They almost kissed before Shizuma came into the room.
Shizuma, resue me like you did that day. I didn't mean to and I love you. Instead, Shizuma did the unexpected. She tackled her. "Why?" Nagisa cried.
"How dare you try to kiss Kaori?" Shizuma screamed. Kaori went with Shizuma into the distance, leaving Nagisa completely alone.
Nagisa began to scream, "No! Come back! Come back!" but then she woke up to Tamao-chan by her bedside.
"Are you alright Nagisa?" Tamao asked.
"Tamao-chan, do you think Shizuma would ever leave me?" Nagisa asked.
"Nope, she came for you that day right?" Nagisa could tell Tamao was just faking a smile.
"Really, its not that I am worried about. What if...what if I am attracted to another girl. What do I do then?" Nagisa asked.
"Well, tell the girl your feelings for her." Tamao-chan replied.
"But what if you are not sure?" Nagisa asked again.
"Why don't you go visit Shizuma over this weekend. Maybe you can check if you still love her or if you love the other girl more."
"Thanks Tamao-chan." Nagisa rushed to the phone. She called up Shizuma's number.
"Yes, is this Nagisa?" Shizuma answered the phone.
"Yes, can I come over this weekend?" Nagisa asked.
"Sure." Shizuma answered. Nagisa quickly hanged up the phone when she saw someone outside. It was Kaori with a look of betrayal. Oh, the villa that Shizuma lives in. She only used to use it for Kaori's visits. Oh no.
Nagisa chased after Kaori. "Its not what you think.'
Kaori yelled. "Not what I think? So this is why I couldn't go to that villa? Just because your presence took up mine? Shizuma's heart for me is gone isn't it?"
Nagisa yelled back. "Shizuma still remembers you."
"Don't even try it." Kaori floated faster than Nagisa could catch up. She was gone.

A sleek black car came up to the front of the church. Nagisa was busy feeling guilty. I shouldn't feel this way, after all, Kaori is a ghost right? She could never do what was in my dream and I could never, ever kiss her.
Shizuma intrupped her. "Nagisa, in your thoughts again?"
"Shizuma!" Nagisa playfully yelled.
Shizuma continued in a more serious voice and wisptered in her ear. "Is something wrong? You can always tell me."
"Not till we get to the villa, okay? I'll tell you there."
Shizuma motioned to the car. "I guess we should get going then."
The car came too soon in front of the villa. Nagisa felt she couldn't tell Shizuma anything right now, but she had to.
"Shizuma, I'm ready to talk." Nagisa gulped.
"You can start now." Shizuma got some tea for both of them.
"You know about Kaori, the previous etoile, well, I think I saw her ghost the other day."
"I guess she was looking for me then, right? Don't worry, I'm decated to you, always Nagisa. Nothing can change that." Shizuma put her arm around Nagisa.
Nagisa pushed the arm off. "Its just...I think I understood why you liked her so much."
She could tell Shizuma was getting the message. She saw jealousy rise up in her eye. "You wouldn't think of ever cheating on me, would you Nagisa?"
"No, no. This is why I came here. I just wanted to get away from it all. Away from Kaori and sort my true feelings out. I think I know what to do now."
"Well, you made the right discision Nagisa." Shizuma, you don't know. You just assumed that, but I'm going for Kaori. Sorry, I'm so sorry Shizuma.
Nagisa went back to Miator and went directly to the church. There, as she expected, she found Kaori.
"What do you want?" Kaori snapped.
"I wanted to say sorry."
"For what? I was thinking, and once I sorted it out, Shizuma had to heal sometime, right? She couldn't have always been thinking of me. I probably caused her a great deal of pain over the years. If I just stayed longer..."
"Kaori, some people are ment to die and now I believe some people are ment to come back as ghosts. I think you are one of those people."
"Ment to wonder around as a ghost? I never heard that saying before." Kaori laughed.
The smile that was in that laugh overrealmed Nagisa. It put all the memories of Shizuma away. It made her feel strong, strong enought to amit what she was feeling.
"Kaori, I," Nagisa was cut off. Tamao opened the doors of the church with a look of disbelief on her face.
"Nagisa, so this was who you were talking about." Tamao said.

"Tamao-chan, how did you find me?" Nagisa asked.
"I was wondering why you weren't coming home and I saw you running. I just assumed the worst."
"This is who she is talking about, what are you guys talking about?" Kaori put on an innocent face. It was hard to resist.
"Um...Kaori..."
Nagisa was intrupped by Tamao. "Jesz Nagisa, get on with it and go with a more direct approach. How do you think of Nagisa?"
"Um..." Kaori blushed.
"Wow, you two are one in the same. You both can't get your feelings out." Tamao-chan paused and thinked. "I guess I should leave you two alone." Tamao-chan walked out of the room.
"I guess I should answer her question." Kaori blushed.
"Maybe she's right. Kaori, you don't hate me, do you?" Nagisa asked.
"No, but there is something about you can't forget. Its something healing." Kaori answered.
"What do you mean?"
"What I mean is this." Kaori thought for a moment. "I think the reason I came back here is because I had regrets. I couldn't move on because of those regrets but seeing you has eased my heart a little. I think its making me move on."
"I don't want you to move on!"Nagisa screamed. Tears fell.
"Why? You and Shizuma will be together. The world will be well without me Nagisa. I don't matter. Its the truth." Kaori said calmly.
"You matter to me. The brief time we have been together has made me question myself."
"Do you mean, I love you?" Kaori looked shocked.
"Yes, I do." Nagisa tried to pull herself to her.
"I was thinking the same thing Nagisa." For the first time since Nagisa met Kaori, she could touch her body.

Kaori noticed her solid body. Her face showed no positive emotion.
"What's wrong Kaori?" Nagisa asked as she sat beside her.
"This only happens when I'm about to move on." Kaori replied with a grave face.
No, no. She couldn't move on. She just couldn't. She just came here. I just met her. No way she is returning to heaven. I'll be her heaven. She can return to me and stay here. Tears flowed down Nagisa's cheeks in an endless stream.
Kaori wiped them away. "Its okay Nagisa. There is a positive side to this."
"What is positive about you going away?"
"This." Kaori kissed her. Nagisa was shocked. Kaori didn't look that bold. She didn't look that bold at all. The kiss ended too soon.
"How long do you have to stay here?" Nagisa asked.
"Maybe a couple of hours in this physical body."
Nagisa's face piped up with happiness. They could catch the last train together and have some fun. What about Kaori's clothes. No matter, Nagisa could lend her some.
"Want to go out on the town with this body Kaori? Might as well make some use of it."
"Sure." Kaori smiled.
Kaori changed into red dress*. Nagisa put on her other dress**. They were running down the street, windowshopping. It seemed they would never stop until an ice cream shop came along. Nagisa got chocolate ice cream while Kaori got strawberry.
"You know what is best about this day?" Kaori asked Nagisa.
"What?"
"Being with you. Also, I don't tire out in this body. It is a defineate plus."
Nagisa and Kaori laughed and continued down the street. Pointing out the sights and sounds, Nagisa enjoyed this city in a new way. It was the same street, but with Kaori, it seemed different. Everything seemed to follow her with a sort of eleagance and grace. Nothing seemed to go wrong when she smiled. Why did a person like her have to die?
Kaori and Nagisa were back at the train station. The train came to a stop in front of them.
"All aboard." The conducter yelled. Nagisa didn't want to leave this picture perfect scene. She wanted to be with Kaori forever and to freeze time. She wanted to be kept in dinal. Kaori wouldn't let that.
"Its time to go Nagisa. I am going to disappear, but I rather do it in that church of angels. Please Nagisa, get on the train." Kaori pleaded.
"On one condition. Will you take a picture with me?"
"Sure." The picture of them togther was on Nagisa's desk back at the dorm. Underneath it lay a sucide note. If Nagisa couldn't be with Kaori in this world, she'll leave it behind. She'll go with Kaori to heaven and follow her for enternity. Nagisa slipped a knife under her sleeve.

Nagisa opened the door to the church. Kaori was kneeling down, praying to God. What is she praying for? I wonder. Nagisa touched Kaori's shoulder to get her out of her dasze.
"Hello."
"Hi Nagisa. That was a nice sunset we saw today."
"Kaori, how many minutes to go?"
"Thirty and counting. I want you to have something." Kaori took something out of her pocket. It was a ring. "I already reseived a necklace from Shizuma and I guess I wanted to give you something different. Nagisa held the ring to the light. It was the most beautiful ring she ever saw.
"Where did you get this?" Nagisa asked.
"I saw that my room was still not occupided. Nothing had moved since I was there. This was a ring my mom gave to me when I set out for Miator. She gave it to me to remember her by. Now, I want you to remember me too." Kaori collasped in Nagisa's arms. She began to pound lightly on Nagisa's chest. "I don't want to go, I didn't want to go that time either. Ever since I went to Miator, I came more and more uncertain with death. Why can't I go back? Why do I have regrets? Why can't I accept it?"
"I know what you mean. When I first began having feelings for you, I wondered why I couldn't go back. If we both can't turn back time, we might as well go forward together."
"But Nagisa, I can't go forward. I won't be together with you."
"You will always be in my heart. You'll never disappear. Even Shizuma still remembers you. You'll always live with us. Always." and I will go with you Kaori. You won't have to be alone anymore.
Nagisa and Kaori kissed again, this time for longer. Nagisa seemed almost satified with this one. She didn't realize how long it lasted until it was too late. Kaori's hand began to disappear. Before long, Nagisa knew, Kaori in whole would disappear. Now was the time to do it. Nagisa pulled out her knife to her throat.
Kaori knocked it down. "No use in you going with me."
"But why? You'll be alone. I'll be alone. Its best if I go with you."
"No, then you'll leave Shizuma and Tamao and the others behind."
"You are leaving me behind."
"Can you do me a favor Nagisa?"
"What can I do?" Nagisa replied.
"Can you sing for me? Once when I fell, I heard the song of angels. It seemed to ease me. I want to hear the song of angels from your mouth Nagisa. You are the ultimate one."
Nagisa sang even though she never sang before. Before long, Kaori joined in. The song seemed so loud a choir was singing it. Kaori was still disappearing. Before she left, she put the ring on Nagisa's finger personally. Then she was gone.
"Thank you Kaori. For everything." Nagisa walked solumly out of the church. It was clear that the angels brought Kaori down from heaven. Now, she was just going home. Soon after, Nagisa climbed over the wall and got into her dormroom with no one noticing.
"Tamao-chan, can I sleep with you tonight?"
"Sure Nagisa-chan. I'll hold your hands so you won't have nightmirrors."

Afterword
Nagisa was pulling the ring on her finger constantly. She was nervous as it was graduatation day. Shizuma was here and after Kaori came and gone, certain things changed.
For once, Nagisa understood Tamao's feelings. She never could see them before. She realized how Tamao was always there for her when no one else was. She and Tamao became closer friends but Nagisa still didn't feel for Tamao. She felt guilty still, two years later.
Still, Tamao-chan found someone she liked and Nagisa was happy for her. She saw Tamao have tears come to her eyes. Unforcantly, the girl just entered when Tamao was in her senior year. Big age difference. Not to say Tamao didn't have some serious grief trying to get people not to think of her as a pervert. Even Nagisa had to amit that the girl was adorable and full of energy.
Nagisa had the courage to tell Shizuma what she did with Kaori. It was a douple blow for her. Then Shizuma had a surprise for Nagisa saying that her parents arranged for her to marry some boy next summer. Neither the less Nagisa was surprised.
She remembered when she laughed and said, "All you need to do is suduce the boy just like you did me."
Shizuma's smile faded. "You really did grow up."
Shizuma hugged Nagisa. "I still love you. You know that? That is why I'm so depressed. Please, can you come back to me?"
"I think Kaori wanted for us to be together. Plus, my feelings haven't died out for you." Just like that, the wound was healed and her relationship with Shizuma went back to normal.
Nagisa walked to the church. She still didn't forget Kaori though. She taught her a lession that she needed to learn. That lession was the lession of materity. The ability to grow up. Nagisa got to the church and cried in one of the pews. Why the tears? Why does it still hurt? Why do I want her still? Nagisa wiped them away before they could flow down her face and make it puffy. The invisable tears just like Kaori's presance was invisable. She was still here, watching over Miator. Just watching over them all.
Shizuma came in the room. "Are you going to graduate or not? The ceremony is starting soon."
"Coming."
************************************************************
Nagisa taught at Miator. She was know as one of the most cheerful teachers there. Shizuma taught along beside her and still set off a creepy arua that made most people worship her. It was always a good laugh. Today was the start of a new year with brand new first year sudents. Nagisa loved her job because the first years were so cute.
The sudents filed though the door. One familier face startled her. It was Kaori. The girl went foward to properly introduce herself and shaked Nagisa's hand.
"Its been a while Nagisa-chan."
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"I asked the gods if I could send a recarnation down. They said yes. I think they wanted to make it up to me."
"I'm so glad you're back. Are you going to be staying for a while this time?" Nagisa asked.
"Well, I do want to graduate." Kaori replied. "Oh, in this body, my name is Hana."
"Nice to meet you Hana."
