Lilies, violets, lotuses, roses, daffodils and many others, the garden was full of them. Linnea almost seemed to blend in with the pink flowers. She was small, her body, as she sat up, was no taller than some of the flowers that she had been sitting among. She had loved to stay around the gardens, but had rarely seen any other Itoku there, as a matter of fact, she hadn't met any others at all.
Perhaps she would today...

Tumaini bounded through the fields of flower as he chased after a funny look thing. It was green, long, and thin with legs that bent high over its body. It jumped from flower to grass to flower again, and Tumaini bounced after it in an attempt to catch the strange thing.
His attention was so focused on the insect that he missed the other Itoku in the field until the pink one sat up. He attempted to stop, planting his feet firmly on the ground. But the momentum from bouncing kept his body moving forward. He tumbled head over feet until he landed on his back before the pink Itoku.

Linnea had not seen the bounding itoku before it was too late. As she saw him, her eyes widened, she could do nothing really besides brace herself for the impact. As the other Itoku wailed into her, she tumbled back into the flowers, crushing a few. Linnea let out a whine as she tried to lift the other off of her.
"Do you mind?" She said, irritated that the other Itoku did not see her. She nudged more, trying to get him off of her.

Tumaini blinked up at the female Itoku in confusion. Standing up, he brushed off dirt and grass from his white and gold fur. "It's not my fault you decided to hide among the flowers," he said, annoyed that the fault seemed to be placed on him alone. "What do you think you were doing hiding there anyway? Did you plan to surprise innocent passers-by?"

Linnea laughed and stood up and shook off. "Hide hah. I was picking a flower." She shook her head and looked down at the flowers that had been crushed. She sighed and looked back to the white and yellow colored male. "Like I said, tending to the flowers. What were you doing in the garden, bouncing around wildly like that? What if I was hurt huh?" She bent down and lifted some of the flowers she had landed on and sighed again. She sat back down where she had been sitting and look back to the male Itoku. " I am Linnea by the way.." she said as she lifted some of the flowers that had fallen from the impact, the ones farther away would be okay, but there would be a small bald spot for a little while.

"Then you should be more careful," Tumaini suggested as he batted away some grass from his ear. "You could get hurt sitting some place where you can't be seen by others." His good mood and fun had soured. "And I wasn't bouncing around wildly," he said grumpily, not caring to farther explain his reasons. By now, the jumping insect was long gone, which disappointed him. "I'm Tumaini."

Linnea gave a sigh. "How was I to know that anyone else was here? I haven't seen anyone else here other than you now..." she lowered her head, she knew she wasn't to blame, she wasn't hiding, and she wasn't trying to get hurt. "So what were you doing anyway...?" Her brow raised as she tilted her head, watching the male brush off some grass. This was a great first meeting with other, not.

Tumaini shrugged as his gray eyes scanned over the garden, trying to find where the little hopping insect might have gone. He didn't see it and sighed, turning his attention back to the pink female Itoku. "I was having some fun," he answered vaguely. He had been so bored since his arrival, having nothing to do and no one to talk to. Perhaps it would be better to act more friendly. But he was still sad that his hopping friend had gotten away.

This was the first time she had met anyone who was like her. "What are you looking for?" she looked around before standing up again. She looked at him and sighed. "Sorry, I was just startled, and you scared me, and I have never seen anyone else around here.." She lowered her head and picked up a flower from the ground, it was a little limp, but it still looked nice. She lifted it and reached out to give it to him.

"A little bouncing bug," he answered, glancing around once more, but the insect had vanished completely from sight. "It's gone now though." Tumaini turned back to look at the female Itoku. "I never meant to scare you. I've never actually met anyone else around here either." He blinked and stared at the flower being offered to him. Was he supposed to take it? He supposed that was the polite thing to do. "Thanks," he said, accepting the flower.

Linnea nodded and smiled some. "I haven't met anyone else at all....I have kind of been around her by myself...." She looked at the flow she gave to him and smiled some. "Welcome." She rubbed her eye some, brushing some dirt over her eye, then back off. She had seen others in the distance before, but she hadn't actually talked to anyone, she had kept to herself. "Do you come here often?"

Tumaini twirled the flower in his paws, uncertain of what he was supposed to do with it now. He had never received a flower from someone before, or any kind of gift for that matter. Eventually, he stuck behind one of his ears to free up his paws. "This exact place? Hm, no, I don't think I've actually come to this field before," he said thoughtfully. There were many fields of flowers, and sometimes he couldn't tell which ones he had or hadn't been to.

Linnea smiled at the flower then looked towards him again. She nodded and looked around the field. "Oh. I come here everyday, I try to end to the flowers as much as I can, it's something I love to do. I suppose that's why I got upset when you ran into me because I fell back and crushed some flowers... " She looked back to the flowers then back to Tumaini. "So do you chase bugs for fun?"

Tumaini leaned to the side to peek around Linnea and see the crushed flowers. "My apologies," he said. "I didn't intend to harm the flowers." He pulled at the fluff on the tip of his ear in thought. "I suppose it's something fun to do, chasing bugs. Certainly more entertaining than doing nothing at all."
