So I'll start by saying this. I've always felt different for other people, as most otherkin tend to feel. I don't feel like an outcast, or seperate from the rest of the world, quite the opposite actaully. I'm a born healer, I feel the urge to help, to fix and to mend.
A friend of mind pointed out to me that I may be walking the path of a newly awakened otherkin. This got me thinking...remembering. About six years ago I started having a reoccuring dream. I've only had it a hand full of times since that first time, but I remember it clearly. I am a large beast, some kind of were (as it was me, i could not see myself) I had disproportionally large paw like hands, a thick body, short grey fur, and a tail (I also did not see). I was wandering about a crowded mall. The people inside were frightened of me, and all I wanted to do was be around them. I wanted to comfort them, but did not have the means.
Now I have a strong tie to both the common domestic dog ( being as a dogs goal in life is to serve its master ) and the donkey (bares the burden of people on strong legs, works hard with out a complaint, but can be very stuborn) This, I know, is a very odd combination. I was reluctant to post this simply because I haven't come across anything like this so for in the otherkin community as I've been researching. But I feel I am a hybrid were. Since I've come to this realization I can't stop the myself from drawing picture after picture of this hybrid were, and I can't shake the feeling of it just be 'right'.
I know this is odd, and I'm very new to this community. Doesn't anyone else have anythoughts on this?

I'm not quite sure what to say. Your dream certainly explained the feelings of wanting to help people but not being accepted for who and what you are makes it very hard to do so. I can relate to that in some ways, and I hope things get better for you. Here you can be yourself though, you can open up and help people here if you want ^_^.
If you find out exactly what you are, or have any clues, be sure to post them(if you want), I'd be interested in knowing. Curiosity killed the cat, no? =P

I like this, if only to be able to say that because what you see yourself as I could never see as a mystical bragging point or a child fantasy picked up from books, I'm more inclined to believe it, or at least say, good job with this, because it's better than most.
