I have this lovely copper plate roughly 8" wide I want to use it for an alter or for ritual use but I honestly don't know what to do with it as far as design or setting (i do jewlery/metal work) any ideas?

If you have a whole bunch of twine and pretty stones, you could wrap the stones individually with the twine, so they don't fall out a couple inches apart. Then, wrap the twine around your dish in every which way. You could even make a handle out of this by going underneath the plate and tieing ends over the top.
This was probably really badly explained sweatdrop , so if you don't get it, I understand.
you mean putting stones into a setting? cause if thats what you mean i can solder bezals in the copper. i do have access to a full metal working studio mrgreen
other wise, im not sure what you mean sweatdrop

That was pretty much the idea. It's cool that you have a studio available to you; I wasn't sure what materials you could get at.
