Do you think buffy actually felt anything for Ben (doctor) or was it just the fact that Riley left her?

i think its because riley left, and everything going on with glory, she wanted someone with her, my opinion whats yours?

hmmm hard question...I think she was kinda starting to feel something but she cut herself off and decided that family was more important

I think that if circumstances had been different then she could have seen herself with him. But with Riley leaving and her mom dying i don't think she was able to be with him. Shame really, he's a nice guy. Apart from sharing his body with a Hell God.

I dont know, maybe they would have gotten together under different circumstances but it wouldnt have lasted. He was a coward who would do anything to save his own a**, even give up an innocent girl. Buffy definately doesnt need that kind of guy

i dont think she felt anything for him other than some slight physical attraction. he was more into her than she was into him.

I would definatley have to say that she was lonley, Ben showed interest and seemed nice.
Everywhere she looked her friends were coupled and happy...and she wasn't plus with Joyce gone....she just needed to fill the void....

I could see Dawn more with Ben rather than Buffy. I mean personally I think Ben wasn't Buffy's type. And not to mention he shared bodies with Glory. That ruined it for the most part.

Well, the comment on the overview was that the "love interest" in Fifth year was going to be Dawn, and so Ben wouldn't've had a chance even if it had been presented. But yeah, I think she also kinda cut herself off from men after Riley left, which is understandable.
But I don't think she would've been too happy to find out that Ben was just going to let Dawn die.

to me ben was sort of a replica of riley, minus the soldier thing. but ben was always acting like the "guy next door", and he had those bad jokes....yeah he was sort of like riley...alot like riley....

Im sure that she felt something but with all of the stuff with her mom and then dawn and all that good stuff i dont think that she would have ever acted on those feeling

yeah, i think the fans of Buffy didn't want her with anyone at the time. it was a natural progression of the show to start trying to put her with someone else, but the viewers were like no because it was too soon from everything that had been going on with riley leaving, dawn coming, joyce dying, etc. and i think that what the fans were feeling was a reflection of what buffy was probably feeling. plus, ben just wasn't all that interesting (apart from his connection with Glory).
