its a common fact that drumming has been used by shamans and medicine men to put themselves into trance states or to summon elder spirits and i was thinking that maybe music could be used to portray a spell, like a solid spell, what do you guys think? im going to try to work it out but i was just looking for some input.

As in a rythem portraying words using different unstruments or tempo's? That sounds awesome, keep it updated.

It has been in use for a really long time, so it has some credit to it. But, as far as I understand, magick is just the manifestation of will. I don't see why music couldn't be used to help one focus on their will. I feel that there is no difference between a shaman banging his drum or an eccentric esotericst playing the bagpipes when it comes to their use in magick.

see my magical instrument would have to be a flute of some sort or my voice. ( mrgreen I rock more than Hannah Montanna AND Demi Lovato)
