Aleali Village
The Aleali tribe make their home on R’iaiana Island. They are the second largest tribe in Belinda and have also embraced the commercialism that the tourists bring. But they do it in a slightly different fashion. Because of all the resorts that have come to be built on their large island, they have discovered that jobs are plentiful for those willing to work hard. Theirs is the strongest economy, and they make full use of it. Their homes are not that of huts like the other tribes. They have actual houses made in a more “civilized” style. There is a more traditional village that is used by a portion of the village. But it only serves to keep the tourists who are expecting “savages” happy. The tribe has become quite modernized over the years. They have an open society in which males and females share the work. Children are pampered and cared for. Most importantly, this tribe is healthy and has begun to grow even larger. Given time, they might even rival the Lihasu tribe in size.
