It was the early morning at the sea today. The sun was still rising, and the waves were calm. The stench of a low tide still lingered in the air surrounding the sea. Squawking of sea birds was fairly common at this time, as was the many other noises of the early day. Though the morning circle still rose into the sky, one figure continued to remain silent. A lioness, blue in hue, was curled into a large furry circle. Her eyes remained shut, while her breathing stayed at a low pace. Usually she would've been awake by now, but something was missing from the picture. A good friend always woke her up previously, and he was no where to be found.

A tail twitched and it wasn't long before a glazed red eye peered open, to once again view the calming ocean. A smile grew on her maw as she continued to open the second eye. Though she was not upset for waking late, she still had a tug at her heart. Her ears folded back as she looked around the area, in hopes of seeing a green male.

She kept it on her mind. Once she stood up, she padded off, away from the sandy beaches and further into the pride to find some time to herself. Or to find Kikore ...

While one creature enjoyed the sunrise, another did not find such serenity in the growing day. Instead, he found the pleasure of sleeping in and away from the three hellions he called siblings. So, as soon as he got the chance, and found a way to push the burden on his sister without any offence, he rushed away into the night and found his own little paradise.

Curled much like the blue female had been, his pale form worked to keep warmth during the night. Yet, as the sun rose up, he became warmed lightly, the heat drying the spray of the sea around him. Shifting, he curled his head away from the painful rays, his eyes looking towards the fleeting night, and merely fell back into his soft slumber once again.

The dark blue lioness made her way through the trees hiding the beaches' shore. She looked back one final time at the waves, before heading off on her little search. Although she was awake -- the green one she was looking for was not. Things always seemed to become difficult for her, whenever she tried to do something.

She simply made her way deeper into the jungle-like forest near the ocean, hoping it was still within the sea pride's borders. If anything, Kikore would still be within it, and not outside of the lands. Though she recalled his mother also being green and then got the idea of searching for all the green lions in the pride. It was brilliant! A smile broke out as she began to search with excitement in her eyes.

Maybe she would be lucky and find a green lion that was related to Kikore ... then it wasn't long before she became too joyful and found herself tripping right over a snoozing, large figure. She landed directly infront of the creature, and then lowered her ears. As the other thing came into view, she noticed it had a green tint to it. Though, it wasn't as bright inside the lands as it was on the shoreline so it was hard to see who it actually was.

She leaned in for a closer look.

His dreams were blissfully simple, just focused on the loll of the waves as they circled around his paws. There was no change beside that rythem, and each breath he took on the outside was a new wave on the inside, simple and complete. So, it was to no wonder how open he was to such an 'attack' when Kilango moved over him, and right before his breath extended he felt her paws hit his side.

Darting his head up suddenly, he looked around to find shadows instead of sea, and became quite disorentated for a long moment. Yet, no sooner had he looked around, he caught sight of the purple form cluttered near by, and groaned slightly as a reaction.

"Kilango..." He murmed with a tired tone, a yawn cutting him off as he moved to stand. Taking a step to the side, his lean form stretched out in a curl, a soft pop sounding before he dragged his claws back through the sand. Lifting one and shaking it, he turned back to the female to his side and tilted his head, his amber eyes clouded and drowzy.

She kept still and silent, until she heard her name. A smile lit up on her maw as he stood up. It was him! She found him. Her excitment grew as he came into better view. But it wasn't long before her ears folded back and she was dragging her way over to Kikore's side. She had to make him feel bad somehow, but even then -- this time she wasn't trying to. She truely missed him all these days. So, she just went with the childish thing.

"Kikore, why did you go away?" Her eyes widened as she looked directly up at the large male. Though, then she just looked down at the ground, even confused at why Kikore left in the first place. Sure, she was supposed to be staying around with Palesa and Kikore, but lately things split off and then she lost them both. She wasn't all too concerned of the whereabouts of his mother ... but, he was a different story.

His eyes took in her movements, from her first smile all the way to how her ears fell and she moved to his side. Settling down upon his haunces, he glanced away towards the light, a futile attempt at telling the time. It was than she broke his thoughts with her soft words, and he looked back into her wide, expressive eyes, remembering when they were once filled with anger and cunning.

"Mother had three cubs," He started softly, silently realizing his mistake and that she probably had no clue, "Three boys, and asked myself and Ivie to watch them for her..." As she looked down, he trailed off again and just watched her, a bit confused and still tired from his abrupt awakening, though he didn't mind as much with the guilt he felt. He never realized the fact that he never saw Kilango anymore.

When her view returned to Kikore, she was rather shocked at what he said. Palesa, Kikore's own mother had ... more cubs? Then she felt bad. "Wow, i've been thinking about myself lately, and you actually had a reason for not being around ... " Her voice was raspy, for she hadn't spoken to anyone or anything in weeks. "I'm sorry. I would feel bad if I took you away from your own siblings. Even though your mother took me in, I would rather stay away. I'm really ... not family. My family is thousands of miles away." Her eyes strayed, as she looked elsewhere.

Her warmth left the male's side, as she inched away slightly. She just didn't want to ruin another family. She already destroyed her own as a cub, and effected enough lions because of her own personal issues. Though she was somewhat over it, she didn't want anything to happen. "I only came here to see you. ... because I ... missed you." She paused, and then looked towards the darker part of the trees, away from the ocean.

He frowned lightly at her reaction, as well as how she pulled away as a sort of recoil. Her voice rasped across his ears and the words themself sent his frown lower for a long moment until he relaxed and sighed. Kilango always seemed drawn to him in the past, and clearly she was better when she was by his side. Thinking quickly, he inched closer to her and grinned a bit.

"It isn't as if you knew, so don't go blaming yourself for something you couldn't prevent. Had I seen you earlier, I would have taken you to them, but of course three cubs are a handful...though cute," He added as an afterthought, looking into the distance as he remembered how rambunxious the three 'twerps' were.

Kilango sighed lightly, as she disagreed with the male's comment. "But, you're wrong, Kikore. I knew all along. ... I saw it in a dream months ago, before the cubs were even in existance. I should've said something to you before we split off so sudden, but I didn't know if it was true. It's really hard to explain, because even I cannot comprehend it. Though, recently i've been seeing a new vision of sorts. Of another lioness, that was not your mother. ... but, a familiar lioness." She knew who it was of, but she did not want to reveal the mystery just yet. She was still upset from her own previous comments, though slightly comforted by the reaction given in reply to her.

"Yes, cubs are cute. ... and a handful, but in the end they are a bundle of everlasting love. Even if they do turn away, hate their siblings and flee, there is still a small shine of love left deep inside of them. I know theres still a small shine of love left in me ..." She had forgotten about her withdrawl earlier and found herself leaning beside Kikore'ruia. Though, she wasn't actually looking him in the eyes, but looking down at the ground.

"A dream?" He echoed softly, looking down towards her with questioning in his amber eyes. Listening to her words intently, he found himself more than surprised at her actions, for while before she would explain dreams in her angry state, this sounded justified and quite acceptable. He actually believed her, even with the 'vision' of a lion like his mother, though not quite.

"Ivie..." He said to himself at that, looking away and keeping his maw shut while she spoke, her soft voice soothing him in the early morning. And on top of the voice, her warmth of being next to him lolled him into a lazy state, so much that he slid down to his belly and let out a yawn.

"Your family loves you Kilango, and I doubt they see you as a runaway, you said it yourself. There is love in everyone, and with family, there is forgiveness as well..."

Kilango nodded innocently, as she looked back up at Kikore. "Yes, a dream. I saw a dream ... " Her furry cheeks blushed as the male continued to make such positive comments about her. "You know, I always had a thing for you Kikore -- even when I was a young cub. There was ... something about you that I admired. It didn't matter what state of insanity I was in, I still ... felt your presence." As the male plopped to the ground, she followed him as she found herself falling into his furry mane. She rubbed up against it gently, and let out a soft pur of comfort.

"But, theres something I want you to know ... about my recent vision. Because it effects you." She leaned her head up to look him in the eyes, with a slight seriousness to it. "... I uhh. ... " She shrunk and then blushed madly, even more than before. "I ... saw. ..." She paused and took a deep breath. "... ... myself."

A sigh of relief came as she blurted out the message, and then she curled closer to Kikore. "But, it wasn't just me ... ... "

Stilling a bit, he suppressed a shiver when she moved her face into his mane, her deep purring rumbling down his spine instead. Never had he felt such a contact from any beside his family, and even than they only did it when he was young and without so much fur. Blinking a bit, he felt a lump form in his throat until he swallowed it away and pushed away the strange tingly feeling he got. It is a pity he missed her first part about her dreams effecting him.

"Isn't it only natural you have visions about yourself?" He asked a bit stupidly, looking down with a slight confused look, almost mocking if only he had a mean bone in his body. Instead, it just seemed a bit wondering at just what point she was getting at, and her little stalls made him all the more antsy, wondering why she was pushing it off so much.

"You were with someone else? Were you playing or something?" He guessed at last, wanting an answer as a childish begging tone started to form with each word.

Kilango was slightly hurt when Kikore asked the question. "I usually don't have visions about myself. They're usually of other beings, other creatures." She was getting upset, as her ears folded back. "I'm ... sorry. I'm just really nervous of your reaction to this." She continued to stay close to the male, as she rambled on with her apology. She paused and then took another deep breath.

"The truth is, Kikore'ruia; the vision ... was ... of us." She didn't know if she wanted to be happy or sad with the current situation, since Kikore was beginning to get ticked off. So, she simply folded her ears back, closed her eyes, and sighed deeply into the large, fluffy mane.

While she saw his anger as a negative thing, Kikore really wasn't mad at her, merely antsy to hear what she wanted to say more than anything else. Yet, as soon as the words left her maw, he sat stark still and could say nothing, his eyes wide with surprise. Had he heard her right? Unable to move because of her close proximity in his mane, he instead took a moment to think it over.

Clearly, if the vision was of them, she saw them as having a future, which wasn't as surprising. Yet, it wasn't a forceful comment, instead it was meek and a bit scared, as if Kilango herself was nervous over the discovery. Swallowing to parch his dry throat, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, his mind flowing a thousand miles a minute.

"A future of us together..." He murmured softly, a bit stalling before he nudged her out of his mane so he could look into her ruby eyes, "Kilango, you can understand why I find it hard to believe visions, right? I've never had dreams that came true like my father or you...so for you to say this...it's a bit surreal, though not unwelcome of course!" He added the last part in a rush, trying not to make it sound like he was offended or anything.

"-but, I hope you can understand that it really doesn't change anything to hear that you foresee a future of us together...because...If I were to have a relationship, I would want to build it up in the present and not worry about the future..." He fumbled over the words and let out a frustrated sigh, digging into the sandy grass with a paw.

"I-I...I missed you Kilango..." and with that, he moved his face into her neck, settling into her vibrant blue fur as the revelation spread across his mind and through his ears.

Kilango smiled as Kikore finally caved in. Though, she still had more to reveal. "I'm sorry if you don't believe me, Kikore. My visions always come true in some way. But, theres more I have to tell you. It is more than just ... a future alone. Way more."

She sighed happily, and then continued. "I do understand. Even if you think about the current present time, my mind will still think about the future no matter what. Because it is important to me." She came closer to him, as the large male put his face near the lioness' neck. She purred lightly as he proceeded.

"The reason I wanted to see you, is because the vision was of more than just us. It involved little ones, as well. Which is why I said it was familiar to the vision I had of your mother." She frowned slightly, as she looked down into his eyes. "... I just don't think i'm ready for such a commitment. I'm more afraid than anything. Yes, I have feelings for you, but not those kind of feelings! I'm still young, and I still have so much to learn about life. I would rather spend my life with you and your family, and share the experience of your own siblings growing old." She paused, thinking about her own family and how wonderful it was until she broke the happiness.

"Anyways, i'm sure your mother would love to see me once again." She clung to the male and closed her eyes. "And even the whole world cannot express how much i've missed you, Kikore ... because although we're not related by blood, you and your mother are the only family I have left to turn to. And who knows, maybe we will end up being a real family someday."

She opened her eyes to slant them at the male, a smirk on her maw.

Taking breath after breath, the pale male continued to keep his face in her neck, letting his instincts take over for the time being. It didn't matter what she said for the time being, well it did in a sense but Kikore had to stick with his words. So, as she moved on and spoke of family, he merely shook his head and tried to silence her with soft shushes.

"My mother is probably getting up now to hunt for my brothers, and Ivie is probably with her...but of course she would love to see you and show you her three little cubs."

Pulling away softly, he looked down to her and let out a sigh, trying to find something for him to do and spotting a log. Reaching over, he scratched his claws on it slowly and waited to see what she would tell him next, unsure as to how to react from her new confessions and his new revelations.

Kilango smiled lightly. "Kikore ... that would be nice. I would love to see your mother once again." She stood back up and padded towards Kikore and his 'log'. "Wow, three siblings ... that must be great. Your mother must be proud. Not only of the new little ones, but also of you, and your sister." She didn't know anything about Kikore's other sister, but it wasn't really all that important to her.

She also put her claws to the bark, and then gestured the large male to lead the way, since she didn't know where Palesa was.

He turned his eyes back to her, the amber orbs clear and cooled, as she settled next to him once again. As before when they were young, she insisted to stay by his side, but this time it was different. Instead of the annoying brat that followed him as a cub, this female seemed to be a bit endearing with her actions, and he felt almost attracted to how attached she seemed to be. He almost felt needed in a sense, and that scared him.

It must have been the confessions, he reasoned silently, though deep down he didn't quite have faith in those thoughts.

"Well..." Standing and clearing his throat, he smiled down towards her, a natural action, "...hopefully we'll find at least the cubs there, though I'm sure they are asleep...they only are awake when I have to watch them." And he left it at that with a dull pout and a whine in his voice.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 03, 2007 7:37 am

Kilango bounded back up off the ground with excitement. She hadn't seen Palesa in quite some time! Now she was given another chance to see her. "Kikore, thank you. Please take me to her, and her beautiful cubs." She slightly chuckled as he mentioned watching them. "Well, then. We can watch them when we get there..."

She stepped aside so that Kikore could lead the way, sticking her tounge out at him. "Its not that big of a deal to watch a few cubs ... "

"You have no idea..." He responded softly, giving her a bit of a pitying look before smirking boyishly and adding, "...lets not forget how you acted as a cub..." Teasingly, he brushed his shoulder against her side as his grin grew, and he rushed off ahead leading the way.

Looking back, he waited for her to follow, his smile reaching his eyes for the first time in weeks as he felt more awake than ever before.
