It was the early morning at the sea today. The sun was still rising, and the waves were calm. The stench of a low tide still lingered in the air surrounding the sea. Squawking of sea birds was fairly common at this time, as was the many other noises of the early day. Though the morning circle still rose into the sky, one figure continued to remain silent. A lioness, blue in hue, was curled into a large furry circle. Her eyes remained shut, while her breathing stayed at a low pace. Usually she would've been awake by now, but something was missing from the picture. A good friend always woke her up previously, and he was no where to be found.
A tail twitched and it wasn't long before a glazed red eye peered open, to once again view the calming ocean. A smile grew on her maw as she continued to open the second eye. Though she was not upset for waking late, she still had a tug at her heart. Her ears folded back as she looked around the area, in hopes of seeing a green male.
She kept it on her mind. Once she stood up, she padded off, away from the sandy beaches and further into the pride to find some time to herself. Or to find Kikore ...

While one creature enjoyed the sunrise, another did not find such serenity in the growing day. Instead, he found the pleasure of sleeping in and away from the three hellions he called siblings. So, as soon as he got the chance, and found a way to push the burden on his sister without any offence, he rushed away into the night and found his own little paradise.
Curled much like the blue female had been, his pale form worked to keep warmth during the night. Yet, as the sun rose up, he became warmed lightly, the heat drying the spray of the sea around him. Shifting, he curled his head away from the painful rays, his eyes looking towards the fleeting night, and merely fell back into his soft slumber once again.

The dark blue lioness made her way through the trees hiding the beaches' shore. She looked back one final time at the waves, before heading off on her little search. Although she was awake -- the green one she was looking for was not. Things always seemed to become difficult for her, whenever she tried to do something.
She simply made her way deeper into the jungle-like forest near the ocean, hoping it was still within the sea pride's borders. If anything, Kikore would still be within it, and not outside of the lands. Though she recalled his mother also being green and then got the idea of searching for all the green lions in the pride. It was brilliant! A smile broke out as she began to search with excitement in her eyes.
Maybe she would be lucky and find a green lion that was related to Kikore ... then it wasn't long before she became too joyful and found herself tripping right over a snoozing, large figure. She landed directly infront of the creature, and then lowered her ears. As the other thing came into view, she noticed it had a green tint to it. Though, it wasn't as bright inside the lands as it was on the shoreline so it was hard to see who it actually was.
She leaned in for a closer look.

His dreams were blissfully simple, just focused on the loll of the waves as they circled around his paws. There was no change beside that rythem, and each breath he took on the outside was a new wave on the inside, simple and complete. So, it was to no wonder how open he was to such an 'attack' when Kilango moved over him, and right before his breath extended he felt her paws hit his side.
Darting his head up suddenly, he looked around to find shadows instead of sea, and became quite disorentated for a long moment. Yet, no sooner had he looked around, he caught sight of the purple form cluttered near by, and groaned slightly as a reaction.
"Kilango..." He murmed with a tired tone, a yawn cutting him off as he moved to stand. Taking a step to the side, his lean form stretched out in a curl, a soft pop sounding before he dragged his claws back through the sand. Lifting one and shaking it, he turned back to the female to his side and tilted his head, his amber eyes clouded and drowzy.

She kept still and silent, until she heard her name. A smile lit up on her maw as he stood up. It was him! She found him. Her excitment grew as he came into better view. But it wasn't long before her ears folded back and she was dragging her way over to Kikore's side. She had to make him feel bad somehow, but even then -- this time she wasn't trying to. She truely missed him all these days. So, she just went with the childish thing.
"Kikore, why did you go away?" Her eyes widened as she looked directly up at the large male. Though, then she just looked down at the ground, even confused at why Kikore left in the first place. Sure, she was supposed to be staying around with Palesa and Kikore, but lately things split off and then she lost them both. She wasn't all too concerned of the whereabouts of his mother ... but, he was a different story.

His eyes took in her movements, from her first smile all the way to how her ears fell and she moved to his side. Settling down upon his haunces, he glanced away towards the light, a futile attempt at telling the time. It was than she broke his thoughts with her soft words, and he looked back into her wide, expressive eyes, remembering when they were once filled with anger and cunning.
"Mother had three cubs," He started softly, silently realizing his mistake and that she probably had no clue, "Three boys, and asked myself and Ivie to watch them for her..." As she looked down, he trailed off again and just watched her, a bit confused and still tired from his abrupt awakening, though he didn't mind as much with the guilt he felt. He never realized the fact that he never saw Kilango anymore.

When her view returned to Kikore, she was rather shocked at what he said. Palesa, Kikore's own mother had ... more cubs? Then she felt bad. "Wow, i've been thinking about myself lately, and you actually had a reason for not being around ... " Her voice was raspy, for she hadn't spoken to anyone or anything in weeks. "I'm sorry. I would feel bad if I took you away from your own siblings. Even though your mother took me in, I would rather stay away. I'm really ... not family. My family is thousands of miles away." Her eyes strayed, as she looked elsewhere.
Her warmth left the male's side, as she inched away slightly. She just didn't want to ruin another family. She already destroyed her own as a cub, and effected enough lions because of her own personal issues. Though she was somewhat over it, she didn't want anything to happen. "I only came here to see you. ... because I ... missed you." She paused, and then looked towards the darker part of the trees, away from the ocean.

He frowned lightly at her reaction, as well as how she pulled away as a sort of recoil. Her voice rasped across his ears and the words themself sent his frown lower for a long moment until he relaxed and sighed. Kilango always seemed drawn to him in the past, and clearly she was better when she was by his side. Thinking quickly, he inched closer to her and grinned a bit.
"It isn't as if you knew, so don't go blaming yourself for something you couldn't prevent. Had I seen you earlier, I would have taken you to them, but of course three cubs are a handful...though cute," He added as an afterthought, looking into the distance as he remembered how rambunxious the three 'twerps' were.
