Started up again in the US. The premiere was actually on Friday, but the SciFi channel likes to play shows from the week over and over and over and over and... you get the point, which is that if you want to see it you could probably find it on again. Or you could just do what I did and watch the entire third season on the intarwebz. http://www.tv-links.co.ukIt's got the "Doctor Who Classics" on there, too. And some DVD special features like Doctor Who Confidential from season 1 and bloopers from Season 2. It's also got nearly every other TV show you can imagine. How awesome. surprised

i missed it and cursed. XD i actually searched and theyre not showing it again D:< im betting my grandpa tivo'd it tho. cos if anyone is as geeky over the doctor as me, its him. i would do that but i have dial up XDD dial up doesnt work well.
im like a freaking megacrazy person with tom baker. i first watched eccleston cos my aussie friend was all blahblah about him, and i was all ok thats cool and his humor sort of pulled me in and after a bit i began to not mind the scifi, then enjoy it XD. then tennant came up and schedule didnt work for me. then like a few months ago i had this craving for tom baker XD i honestly dont know where it came from but its here and ive bought genesis of the daleks, sontaran experiment, ark in space, robots of death, something else XD, and i got terror of the zygons or wotever the other day. it was at a garage sale and i was all OMFG ITS TOM BAKER! and these old ladies turned to look at me like O__o best dollar spent ever.

Good luck on finding a way to watch it and FOR GOD'S SAKE IT'S 2007 STOP USING DIAL-UP. D< even my 80-year-old aunt gave up dial-up like three years ago. GET WITH THE PROGRAM, MISTER.
But yeah, since my laptop computer broke and I can't use headphones on the computer in the kitchen, and I don't like having my family walk by and go like "HEY THERE, WHAT'S THAT YOU'RE WATCHING?" I haven't gotten a chance to watch the Classic Doctor Who episodes on that website. I will when my computer gets fixed, though, so then I can form a less-biased opinion on which Doctor I like best. Right now, out of the choices of Eccleston and Tennant, I like Eccleston best. Mostly because of the snazzy accent and bitter sarcasm. I'm a sucker for sarcasm. <3

i cant my mom wont change D:< ive already begged numerous times
out of eccleston and tennant id go with eccleston but im biased cos ive seen more of his >_> he looped me in with his wit. he was more bitter yes. i liked the grit he showed, especially like with the daleks where he was going crazy when the collector had that one and was all up in its face and then later on it told him he would make a good dalek...i heard that tennant talks a lot about rose which is annoying cos it can be easy to forget but there were prior doctors with prior companions. and some of them DID have feelings for companions. the obvious point out would be the fourth doctor with romana #2 as they married but thats not wot im referring to cos thats real life XDD davies or wotever it is that deals with the show says he wants to concentrate on the future ie forgetting the older doctors like tommeh but rose is a bit in the past hm :] not like decades but martha was there and now its donna and he still talks.
but yeah i like tom baker the best :3 hes a very cheeky doctor. he offers jellybabies often at inopportune moments. XDD like harry was all worried cos they were facing imminent death so he asks the doctor wot they would do and the doctors like anyone up for a jellybaby? i watched the armageddon factor arc and he was very creepy at the end with the key to time, asking romana if she was paying attention cos if she wasnt he would make her cos he could control everything and everything would have to listen to him and then his eyes rolled in the back of his head. i was fairly like O______O but then i remembered he often likes to get your goat so i relaxed and romana was like doctor are you ok and hes like yes of course but imagine someone else getting the key and them acting like that about that over this and that and he unrolled his eyes XDD

I think the only reason why they talk about Rose a lot in the new series (because they do talk about her throughout the whole thing, believe me) is because the same people who watched seasons one and two of the new series are watching season three of the new series, but the same can't be said for watching all the Doctor Who episodes of yester-year. For example, I love all the episodes from 2005 up until now, but if they make references to episodes from like the 1960's without explaining whatever they're referencing a second time around, I wouldn't get it. It's safe to say that any references that are made to Rose, I'll understand and have the desired emotional reaction to it.

yeah it gets a bit annoying to me tho XD
if they ever reference jelly babies for some crazy reason, ill know cool the fourth doctor sure loved his jelly babies.
see i was psyched for it to finally come here but then i forgot XD and i was like akdfjlkasjdf but my grandpa should have it and ive already got it programmed for friday cos ill be watching harry potter >_> if i wasnt seeing that movie id prolly be watching doctor who at my grandpas XDD
i can totally remember when i first started talking about it and i was all i like tom baker the best and my grandma was all your grandpa likes him too O: the one with the scarf? and i said yeah and she said she liked him and my grandpa was all hell yes.
and my moms just watching, completely blank as we talk of cybermen and daleks. it was amusing XD she was like "i saw a few minutes of it and i had no idea i mean he gets into a phone booth and its huge?" and my grandpa was all "D:<" and told her wot tardis stood for XD

i cant help it DDDD: 99% of the people i talk to about doctor who are from britain. my grandpa is the only one who isnt XD and he prefers tom baker anyway.
it doesnt bother me any cos i have no clue wot theyre talking about and i forget it anyway. XD the only thing i remember is the jellybaby bit and the life on mars which isnt too vital to the plot. i knew the master was gonna pop in eventually.

Well, I watched the episodes along with the British folks - maybe a day or so later than them, but still.
And I learned to avoid all conversation with anyone who might know spoilers for a favorite show, movie, book, whatever of mine. Even if it means not talking about it at all, I'd be like "Hey so do you like Doctor Who?" and they'd be all "YEAH, you know in the end --" and I'd hit them with a two-by-four and change the topic to bunnies.
LEARN FROM ME.

You have my sympathy Crackerbox. I too, only have dial-up. It sucks, but I can't get DSL where I live. sad
I used to watch Dr Who years ago, and when I met my hubby, I discovered that he was a serious fan of the show, and had a huge collection of them on VHS. The earlier shows had really cheezy graphics, that really amuse me. The new show is much more impressive. My hubby has no idea, but for Christmas, I've bought him Dr Who playing cards, which have all the Dr's on them, and a CD of all the Dr Who music. I know he'll love both, and I've had them stashed away for months now! I can't wait to see his face at Christmas! whee

Next year, if I see them again, I'll have to pick you up a pack. Oh, my hubby also has the Dr Who scarf like the one that Tom Baker wore. When we were dating, he mentioned that it would be really cool to have a Dr Who scarf, so we noted the colors, and I knitted him one. It was sooo long that we would often both share it and wear it together. I should have got pictures. It took me a looong time to knit, and it was about 11 foot long. sweatdrop
