So, who's seen this movie? For those of you who haven't, you should. It's a bit corny (okay, really corny at times), but it's sort of fun to watch. It's good for if you're interested in the Monkees behind the scenes and all that. I love watching the commentaries by Peter, Davy, and Micky, too. It's funny to hear them correcting certain parts of the movie and see what the movie got dead on. Plus, Micky's commentary is so funny! It's almost like an MSTK version...

Yeah, the Micky guy did a good job. Actually, they all did, all things considered. I didn't know the guy who played Micky was in anything else, though. I'll have to look him up.

I have no idea why they put that bit in there...

I actually watched this when it came out on TV. Though I own an official VHS copy that I have never watched. It's been too long though for me to remember much about it. -_-

Micky's commentary was really the only thing that made it worth watching to me. I really didn't like it.
Outside of Aaron Lohr's portrayal of him. (other than the hair and the fact that he was a bit too burly to be Micky, he was dead-on) Whoever was Nez just made him an annoying whiner. And Peter looked like a blonde Keanu Reeves, which was odd for me. There also wasn't enough contrast between show!Peter and real!Peter. If they had shown more show footage (rather than randomly piping in romps) this would have been better.
Also wtf @ John Lennon looking like he walked out of Yellow Submarine? He never actually LOOKED like the cartoon.

Yeah, it reminded me of him the Sgt. Pepper's album. Very weird...
Actually, that entire scene had a lot of mistakes in it, too. Not all of the Monkees were even there. Still, for all of the movie's foibles, it still had some good bits in it.
