If you have not heard of this anime, and you are on gaia, your head has been stuck in the dirt or something. This anime has reached epic proportions. The only thing I can think of that has been as wildly popular in America and has run as long would be InuYasha (I will rate this later....2/5).
Overall Naruto isn't the worst thing you can watch. In fact I'd recommend it if you have a lot of free time on your hands, you are bored, and you have access to torrents or other sources. However I would not seek out this anime over others with higher ratings. One reason to watch it after it's been out for a while is so that you can skip the insane number of filler episodes. I have never seen or heard of another anime that wastes so much time.
For this mass of filler, for the almost DBZ like slowness to the resolutions of some situations, and for the horrid horrid english dubbing (I refuse to watch it) I must take points off. However credit must be given. The anime didn't reach such popularity for no reason. It is amusing, it does have some good action sequences, and it has some lovable characters even if a lot of them are horridly stereotypical.
So I give Naruto a 3/5

I Used To Make In Fun Of My Friend So So Horribly For Watching Naruto, Then She Told Me To Shut Up And Watch It, So I Did. I Sorta Liked It. And Since It Comes On Before My Shows On Friday, I Watch One Episode. It's Not Absolutely Wonderful, But Can Be Fun And Has Its Perks.
