I'm just curious... I use a Gemeinhardt, which is supposedly the best, but I don't know.

Those flute brands are considered more beginner/intermediate although they do make professional models.
I have a beginner Gemeinhardt and it's pretty good.
But I want a Miyazawa. 3nodding

Hmm, I play an intermediate Gemeinhardt, and I love it to death, but I'd have to say my favourite brand would be Miyazawa. :3 Powells are pretty awesome, too, and my band director recommended Yamahas.

Both my piccolo and flute are Yamaha and they both play extremely well. The sound is beautiful. I would love a Muramatsu flute. They make 24-carat gold flutes with engraving on the keys and the mouthpiece. heart That's going a bit overboard, but they're so pretty!... And 34,000 dollars. sweatdrop That one's only 14-carat gold. This one's 24 carats.

The first flute I had was a very old brand. The flute I used belonged to my mother when she was in high shool.....which is a LONG time ago. LOL But I just got a new one because they said the repairs for my old one would cost well over 200$. The brand I have now is an Accent. ^^
