NO it does not mean you've been a fluffy bunny this entire time. It means that pehaps you haven't looked into Wicca fully and it may not be for you. As you said you are eclectic. You may know what you are just not what to call it and therefore called it the most popular name you knew of. I knew shortly after I started practicing I wasn't Wiccan but it took me awhile to know eclectic pagan was an accepted term until I found the right name. I also fell into the trap of not knowing what to call my beliefs. In fact it wasn't until just resently I realized dragonic pagan fit best what I have always been. Now I'm doing more research and self reflection to discover exactly what that is and how to go about practicing properly. And I will tell you this, it's not easy to completely change your mindset of how to practice when you've been doing it that way for the past 11 years.

I guess that means that for now I'm an electic pagan witch that follows some wiccanish laws (like the threefold law, and the rede).

Okay, well that thread made me a bit angry...
Those people were obviously rigid Garnderian Wiccans. And even in Gardnerian Wicca, you don't have to be a priest/ess to be considered a practitioner. There are three levels, the first being initiate, the third being High Priestess. Sure, you have to be initiated by another Wiccan, but you don't have to be part of a strict coven.
Depending on your beliefs, you might be an Alexandrian Wiccan. You'd still need to be initiated by another witch to be considered official, but until you find someone to initiate you, you can still research, learn, and follow the traditions.
I loosely call myself Eclectic Pagan. My beliefs are similar but not an exact match to Wicca, as well as many other religions. I believe everyone already knows all the secrets to the universe, they just haven't become aware of them yet. I discover wisdom through meditation as well as communication. What's right for me might not be right for someone else.

I honestly think they were just out to make people mad, some people do that. I usually don't bother, they arn't looking for real information or caring about who they upset in the process.

The Sugar Pixie Heh, very true.. They remind me of a lot of the people around here >.< The Christians have fights about whose church is better than whom's, and who has the most money, and just crap like that.. It's a shame... The concepts of Christianity are OKAY. But what happened to it just sickens me...(The whole "MY CHURCH ROX GODS SOX, URS DOESNT!!!!!onebillion"..."MY WAY IS THE ONLY WAY!!!!" or even "OMG ur *insert non christian religion here*?! Go 2 hell!!!!!onetrillion" thing I mean) Not all christians are like that, I know. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If you don't wanna be judged, don't judge others. Simple rule of thumb. 3nodding

Something that confuses me... I went onto the link you gave about the discussion, and one of the people there was quoting Gardener as if his exact words were the pinnacle of Wiccan religion, which I've noticed a lot of Wiccans do. It seems like some practitioners view Gardener as some kind of Jesus figure... has anyone else noticed this? I'm not saying that's a bad thing neccessarily, each to their own beliefs and all!

I must say that was interesting literature that those beings spew from their mouths to feed the masses with biased ideas and right wing beliefs. Who knew that religion was so strict in peoples eyes that they warp it into a strict rule book that one must follow or meet the gallows of fate if they stray. Yes the sarcasm is spilling like acid from me.
