Good news, everybody!

This story gets better. I did a google search on Futurama returns and got the following news report and comment page. Comedy Central gets 13 new episodes ad Fox gets the option to run them.

Time to strip naked and run down the halls of the Convention Center to Ballroom 20 around 1PM Saturday afternoon! Thankfully, that's one of the biggest rooms in the building. Be there or miss the event of the 22nd century.

OK, now for the meat of the matter!

The schedule has yet to be finalized. But the plan is for four sets of half hour episodes, each in a story arc that can be reedited as a two hour movie to be sold directly to DVD.

So you'll the best of both worlds. If you don't have Comedy Central, you can buy the DVD of the season as four movies. Sweet. You can pre-order from http://www.foxstore.com if you really want to send a message to the folks who supported the rebirth of this series. But you'll have to be patient for a few days until they get the listing up at the website.

They showed five finished minutes of out takes from Bender's Big Score, the first four episode story arc. No spoilers for those who want to find the detail themselves.

A mini-comic was given to each audience member. The assembled voice cast did a table reading from the comic! Very touching.

The balance of the panel was a series of long form answers to the better questions from the audience, peppered with plenty of voice acting from everyone.
