Styles
First of all let me start by saying there are two main forms of Rp. First is turn based, which is the standard and alot more effective then the other types. The other main type that some people use is called Quicktime. This involves the first person to post their attack gets it and it is alot more chaotic taking less strategy. Our clan standard will be turn based but we will still allow quick time in gaia towns.
Turn based is simple, a fight starts with two or more people and they decide an order they will fight in, who will post first, who will post second, who will post third, and so on and so forth. Any post out of turn is considered void and it is ignored.
Also other then post style there are a few other things that will be taken into consideration. We will have 3 different ways of fighting (you can use any of the three in a fight unless the rules in a specific fight state you must use one) The first way is Melee style. This is a no energy no jutsu type of fighting, just weapon against weapon. The second way is the ninjutsu style, this is based on naruto using different jutsus to destroy your opponent combine with melee. And the third and my personal favorite is the Elemental style. when starting in this style you choose an element from the list and you will train as that element. When mastered you may move to a second element on the list though you may not use more then one element at a time, meaning in a fight you must transform to the other element before using it.

Getting started
Before the fight starts the people who were fighting discuss if there will be any special rules for this fight EX) If there is a severe energy barrier around the field (also known as a shadowflame wall, an extremely high shadow and fire attack only could be created by someone with the proper artifact or several people) , meaning it takes thee times the amount of energy to use an energy attack then it normally would. The person who has the first post sets the scene using descriptive wording of the scenery around them, what type of battle field they are on.

Beginning of a fight
First of all to the very start of a fight each person (in turn) must do an introduction post, explaining the external appearance of their character and how they enter. (there are some rules where someone has to name every item and weapon they have on them to keep them from bringing anything they didnt describe into a fight, this will be decided to be enforced if desired at the beginning of the fight by the combatants)

List of basic rules
1. NO MODING. Moding includes instant hits or instant kills, also it includes God modes which are when people expend alot more energy then possible and are still alive, or taking an extreme amount of damage without showing it. (they have to add lag to their character when hurt, (because seriously, who would be able to keep running with both of their feet cut off.)

2. NO DOUBLE POSTING. A double post is where someone finishes a post and decides to add something at the last second ex) "someone is in a fight and they send a post saying they were running at their opponent but they forgot the lava inbetween them. They had already sent the post and then they quickly type up another one saying they jumped the distance between the two areas at their opponent." If the person needs more room to continue typing up their post because they have run out, some mark that they are not done with it should be used such as -c- which stands for continue meaning they arnt done yet. When someone double posts both posts are considered void ant it is the next persons turn in the cycle.

3.KEEP PRIVATE CHATTING AND WHATS GOING ON IN THE RP SEPARATE. This means when you are discussing something during the rp, if it isnt your characters that are talking (which i doubt they are because they are trying to kill eachother) then used parenthesis ( ) around it to show that it is OOC, out of character.

4. TRANSFORMATION. If your character transforms during a fight you will not be able to attack the same turn you transform on, meaning transforming when someone is attacking you isnt a good idea. Also depending on the power of a transformation it will take more turns to complete it, if you are unsure about how many turns it takes contact a moderator.

5. ARTIFACTS AND ENCHANTMENTS. Enchantments are difficult to obtain and even more difficult to forge, whenever u wish to create an enchantment you will need to have different rods. Rods are enchanted items used to enchant things, these themselves are created using items with magical properties (kinda like wands in harry potter) When enchanting something speak to a mod to see if you are capable of creating the item you are thinking about. Water jutsu or magic will be used in enchantment, just like fire is used in forging.
Artifacts are only obtainable from mods or for completing different quests and such that the mods will provide. They are extremely rare and are much more powerful then enchantments.

I cannot think of anymore at the moment you need to know but im positive we will cover them alot better soon. The moderators are planning on starting a school to teach you the art of rping, as you progress in the school you will be awarded with enchanted items, minor ones but useful. With this style of rping we will not tell you from the start which attacks your class can do, that is for you to find on your own, because if you start the elementalist class and we give you fire to do with as you want, assuming you can think of a way to use it most of the time we will allow you to use it, meaning there are no attacks set in stone unless you create them or your trainer decides to show you some.

Contact Soul, Sano, Cas, Sakura or Tulin for questions. Raine can't be bothered to post anymore =P

I wonder if possibly these rules need refining. These rules are good, but what about...

How many characters can I rp?!
Can I be naruto? ((Well, we all know the answer to that one I hope.))
How should I join a rp?

Reading these rules is kinda hard, because it's very 'in your face' kind of thing. Red font, black font, and some capitals is a bit intimidating.

Does anyone else agree...? Should we change these a bit?
