Violette's Stories

It was a fine summer's day. I had just gotten off of summer school, and I had enjoyed the last day of it immensely. Though I would miss my friends made, I wouldn't forget them. Being around people all day made me be alone, so I went out to a quiet spot, my spot, filled with tons of flowers.
I got there and sat under a large oak tree. It was just a hilly area, with nothing else but the wilderness around me and no one else there. I brought out a book, "Survival of the Sickest," a book that taught how to accept life and all the things that come with it. I pulled a water bottle out of my tote, and started to read. It was a good book, and at first, I didn't hear a little rustle coming toward me.
Ffft. Ffft. I saw the flowers bend to the side, and knew that someone, or something was approaching me. I close my book, and stood up against the tree. It was small, and I couldn't quite tell what it was until it came into the clearing where my oak tree was. It was a little pastel purple poneko with a pastel green flower on one eye. It was adorable!
"Hello there, little one," I said to my stranger. I reached to pet it on the head. "What's your name?"
It suddenly ran away, and I was stunned. "It's okay! I won't hurt you!"
I sat back down, sad that the cute kitty ran off. I started to read again, thinking that it wasn't going to come back. I was wrong though. This time, I didn't hear it coming back to me. It softly came to me, with a flower in its mouth, and plopped it on the pages of my book. I picked it up and studied it. "This is a Violet, isn't it?"
It looked please that I knew what it was. It was frantically nodding its head up and down. "Is your name Violet," I questioned.
Shaking its head, I guessed again. "Hm... It has to do with Violets, so... Is it Violette? A little girl!"
Once again, she nodded her head, but I noticed she was a little disappointed I couldn't tell she was a girl from the start. "That's an adorable name," I exclaimed. "Where is your owner, or mom, or whatever?"
Violette looked sad when I asked her this, and I understood. "Hm... why don't you come home with me when I am ready to go?"
She was exstatic. She jumped on my head and snuggled against it. I could also feel her clinging to my head. Obviously, she wasn't going to let go anytime soon. I let her stay on my head while I looked at the patches of violets and had an idea. I picked only the prettiest flowers and slowly made a flower chain. When I was done, I placed it on my little Violette's head. "How do you like it?"
She blinked at me with wide eyes, and I could see the happiness in them. While she found a new home, I found a new friend, and we were both really happy to have each other.
