Hair: Tategami has short dark brown hair that is never kept neat. It usually falls just below his eyebrows.
Eyes: Both eyes are Amber colored.
Clothing: Tategami wears a regular shinigami uniform with only one real modification, elongated sleeves. It covers his entire arms and goes about 6" past his hands.
In the human world he wears a red jacket that has sleeves simmilar to his uniform. He also wears black pants with black shoes which have red stipes on them.
Physical Description: Standing at 5’8”, weighing 175 pounds, and having short dark brown hair that is never combed Tategami looks like any normal person, though do not underestimate him. After years of training he has mastered five different martial art styles, though you would never guess it since he sports almost no muscle, and prefers swords to fisticuffs, using his arts only when disarmed. He prefers to hide his hands completely in robes with extremely long sleeves. Just as well, he prefers to keep his legs covered in long robes.
Tategami moves in quick, short steps, usually with his head down to prevent anyone from paying him much attention, causing him to constantly walk with his head down bumping into everyone that comes near. Tategami's amber colored eyes are striking compared to the rest of his face. The edges of his mouth fade way into the rest of Tategami’s worn, tanned face with no noticeable transition. After hiding his hands and legs most of his life they remain very pale. This provides a striking contrast when Tategami rolls up his sleeves during battle.
Background: When a mysterious organization called the Five Shadows massacred his family, including his soon-to-be wife and unborn child, Tategami vowed revenge. In the following years his personality was torn in two, separating into his intellect and his emotions. Though Tategami’s personas have since become one, he still prone to having conversations between the two halves. Training relentlessly to improve his mind by reading and growing wiser in all subjects that deal with war. Focusing on the strategies of famous generals, mainly Alexander the Great and Napoleon, along with body mechanics, studying to disable an opponent before they are able to land a single blow, and swordsmanship most. Though Tategami trained his mind he didn’t neglect his body, having become a master of 10 different styles of martial arts to augment the sword techniques he was learning. A fact no one would guess since he only uses the arts when he has been disarmed. After years of being alone a tip, given to him by the very people who killed his family, forced him to kill himself.
Personality: Even though he avoids other people as much as possible, when he walks into a room all eyes are on him.When not reading he is usually found sleeping, because of his own motto not exerting more energy than necessary when doing anything. As a personal habit he never looks people in the eye, because after looking at or being stared at someone for any time over a minuet, he bursts into uncontrollable laughter. With a fierce sense of loyalty, he is willing to protect his superiors and team with his life. After suffering from a split personality, his thoughts often occur as if he is having a conversation with himself, complete with full arguments.
