Well, we've got enough money to make a sub-forum for announcements (there will be another once we've got the money). So, here's our first newsletter! If you ever have any announcements, PM me and I'll put them in the next newsletter.
Here's what's going on in the Guild:
1) Skitrel has suggested this sub-forum, then donated a huge sum of money into the Guild account so that we could afford it. Sub-forums are 2,500 gold each, and the money is taken from the Guild account. It gets put there through donations and entry fees, so eventually we'll be able to afford another one. Many thanks to Skitrel!
2) The post count has soared, but there are actually very few members posting, so if you could, advertise, and reccomend this guild to your friends! PM me with the usernames of people you think would like to join, and I'll send them invites.
NEW 3) General sub-forum is now up, due to a huge donation by Zenai, Head of Banners. The General Chat in the main forum will be deleted soon, so start chatting in the General forum. It's also where you take debates, polls, etc.
Contests being run at the moment:
Annetia's Weekly Paragraph Competition (prose)
I give you a sentence, you write the rest of the paragraph. No fee, 1000 gold first prize, 500 gold second prize, also honorable mentions.
Annetia's one-word prompts competition (prose)
I give you one word as a prompt, you produce a peice of writing based on that prompt. 100 gold entry fee, 1200 gold first prize, 600 gold second prize. Not generating much interest, advertise, people! Please enter!
Zenai_Metos's mascot suggestions
Zenai, supplier of all my wonderful banners, is taking suggestions for a Guild mascot, as well as giving out the codes for our banners and taking suggestions for others. (I'm starting to think of him as Head of Banners at the Guild).
Ink_Weaver_Heart's poetry contest (poetry, not up yet)
I've given the go-ahead for a poetry contest Ink wants to run, that should be up soon.
NEW: Marael's poetry contest
You are supplied with some pictures, you must write a poem about that picture. 50 gold entry fee, 800 gold first prize, 500 gold second prize, 200 gold third prize, 50 gold for an honorable mention.
Remember, if you have any suggestions for improving the Guild, PM me.
Oh, and feel free to commenty-commenty on the newsletter.

Hmm, I'm not so good at recommendations..
I could get a big white van, a boiler suit and balaclava, then go kidnap people and force them to join at gunpoint if you like?

Annetia Skitrel Hmm, I'm not so good at recommendations.. I could get a big white van, a boiler suit and balaclava, then go kidnap people and force them to join at gunpoint if you like? Right, I'm gonna repaint my car white, and head off to rally for a while to go see if I can find anyone who doesn't chronically annoy me.

Hooray! I have a tentative title! I am the almighty Head of Banners! I'm thinking of making the the mascots a pen and pencil that can be constantly competing. Any thoughts?
