It was such a beautiful day for a wedding too…
Victor awoke with a start, clutching his knife as usual. He looked around his tent. Nothing. It was the same dank, ratty, disgusting, sad excuse for a shelter as it always was. Forcing himself to go back to sleep he felt his knife… It was bloody. Checking himself for wounds he found none, this caused him great alarm. Cursing under his breath he jumped out of bed to find a gruesome sight, his comrades, his friends, mangled and dismembered almost beyond distinction. Written in their innocent crimson blood were the words:

CHAPTER ONE
It was a beautiful day for a wedding. Birds singing, minstrels telling the tales of heroes and dragons, few clouds in the flawlessly blue sky, just enough to keep the sun from hitting the shining, bustling, city of Gilead too hard. It was this shining city that Lord Obadiah, paladin of the round, was riding into on his trusty stallion Ramsed. Lord Obadiah was fairly pleased this morning, as he rode he picked up some flowers, gave some gold to the old widow on the corner, and waved to some of the few people he knew. Hopping off of Ramsed Lord Obadiah walked up to the large oak doors of Kingston Palace. Obadiah was a man of few but great words most of the time, his eyes were a deep indigo, his long black hair tied up in a ponytail. Today he was wearing his finest white armor, displaying the symbol of the round. He knocked on the large doors, only to be greeted by his two least favorite half people, Glee and Zeal, the twins.
“Who are you?” They asked, in unison
“It is I Lord Obadiah, I have business here at the palace today.”
“Well how do we know you are who you say you are?”
“Don’t make me do it~~~” Obadiah began, but he couldn’t finish before the twins butted in
“SHOW US THE BURN!!! If you’re the legendary hero that has not only fought the black dragon and lived, but KILLED it too, show us your proof, show us the mark he left on you!”
Sighing away the horrid memories that he was about to relive, Lord Obadiah started to unlatch his right arm piece, the burn on this arm, left by the black dragon was his most loathsome battle scar, the memories that came with it were of the worst of his life, incidentally, it was the one thing that everybody he came into contact with wanted to see. He finished removing the plate and showed them the charred flaky flesh that composed his right arm, it never hurt, it was just there, like some kind of twisted tattoo.
“Cooooool” Whispered the twins to each other as they unlocked the door.
Obadiah walked in saying “Now go on, wreck havoc somewhere else little ones”
“Yeah sure, of course!” they said jumping off laughing and giggling about how cool it was that Lord Obadiah was back in town.
“little demons” He mumbled to himself “I can’t believe they’re going to be my brothers”
