damp...dark..barely any light to see, i can't recall how i found myself to be in such a place. cramped, claustrophobic, the stone walls were covered in a slick film, almost mossy, the ground was soft and moist, loose dirt, but no insects. that's what bothered me, it was a dead place, the air was still and heavy but quite warm. it was labouring to breathe, though glad i was only wearing boxers, layers would have been cumbersom and unbearable in this climate. making my way down the tight corridor something caught my eye, but just barely.. a distinct shape sticking out from the wall, sqaure, and only about an inch out. curious to why it was there, i examined it, seemed fairly stuck in place, so i tried pushing on it.

in amazement i sat there thinking what this could mean, when my thoughts were interupted by another sound. a sound not familiar to me but one that sent chills through my spine and caught my breath. my pupils dialated, ears awoke from their dormant duties and were on gaurd, breathing slowed, and i waited. i waited until a faint ermerald glow came in to view far down the corridor, just barely enough to notice. crawling as slow and silent as i could, making my way towards the incandesence the sounds were growing. coming more clear the closer i got to the eerie unnatural light. straining to comprehend.....it was voices!. my heart and ears now having a battle over who will work harder, i was frightened but more so excited to find the source of all of this. closer i was to this light that was brighter as i drew more near it. i could now see there was an opening to my left just up ahead small and rectangular..where this glow emitted from. all the while this noise in the background gained increasingly in volume, this deep sinister sound, more like chanting than conversing.
more and more my heart races but i could not turn back, the corridor was not wide enough for my body to turn...only forward.panic strikes when my widened eyes finaly gaze though the opening and upon the spectical that laid before me. men upright around a platform..or a table of some sort. the room was circular with 3 other openings much like the one i was very carefully peering through all near to the cieling. there was also a door, wooden, aged, large and imposing that remainded closed. the men were still...still as death, perpetualy chanting this tune that was shaking the very essence of me. fear had taken hold and frozen me in place. the glow had become more intense and i could now see what was making it..there was a body on the table, the colour was coming off of this body!. i then realized how much the room looked like an O.R. and that i must be in an ancient vent..
