The rain fell lightly, almost nothing more than a drizzle. Just enough to dampen hair and clothes. Running its way down rainbow colored strands and into half closed eyes.
Any normal person might wonder why he was staing in the rain, but he was too lost in his own thoughts to even notice the precipitation. Pondering the secrets of the universe in his own way. A cigarette was clasped loosely between elegant fingers as he took a quick drag.
His eyes scanned the dreary road, looking at nothing in partictular, just waiting. His eyes lit up when he heard his name being called. "Craig! Hey!"
He spun quickly. Armbands of every color jangling as he did so. "Kyler!"
The two boys exchanged a quick kiss that tased of smoke and honeydew.
Kyler looked at his boyfriend, drinking in the sight of him. A black leather corseted shirt with veridian laced sleeves atop crimson ripped jeans and pale canvass tennis shoes. Coupled with the rainbow hair and bangles it made quite a beautiful sight.
"Bum a cig?" he asked, touching Craig's arm gently.
Craig smiled softly and pulled a pack out of the waistband of his jeans.
Kyler took it and, leaning foreward, pressed the coals together. Lighting it as if the two ends of the cigarettes were exchanging a chaste kiss. He released a puff of smoke into the steadily strengthening rain and smiled. "Luv ya."
By the time the bus came the rain was pelting the two boys, who were huddled together for warmth. It was quite a touching scene.
And all too soon the brake lights were lost in the distance, leaving an empty bus stop and two cigarette butts as reminder of those who were there.
