"Yessirree, that's right.
The Westboro Baptist Church (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westboro_Baptist_Church), Fred Phelps' followers, are coming to protest the 'Celebration of Life' or whatever it is we're having at our high school...

You might know these folks by their charming catch-phrases such as "God hates fags", "America is doomed and cursed by God irreversibly," or "The Lord God Almighty killed [the people who died on 9/11], looked at them in the face, laughed and mocked each one of them as he cast each one into hell."

Anyways, this little cult (I believe they've been on the official 'hate groups' registry for a while now) enjoys spending its free time travelling, yelling at reporters, and of course picketing the funerals of random people in order to get publicity. Dead soldiers for example. It doesn't really matter... everyone is a sinner, and everyone deserves to burn, right Mr. Phelps?

So what exactly are they protesting at my school? Well, a month or so ago 5 seniors from FHS burned to death in a gruesome car crash. It was sad, devastating, etc... So this event was set up to remember their deaths and celebrate the life of everyone else; as well as give the seniors one final chance to meet up with each other. Yeah-- real horrible stuff, worthy of protesting, no? Well, apparently it is- they're coming to picket the event. And if God truly is merciful, perhaps their little entourage will get in an accident of its own on the way here. And I doubt many tears shall be shed over their loss."
