It's been a while, and quite an interlude from what I feel like talking about...
I love Muse! I went to go see their concert Thursday for an early birthday present. Being in the pit was fun, although I almost got crushed a couple times...damn my shortness. Anyways, I was right by the rim of the circle, where there were quite a few drunken flailers. It was fun though, and it was pretty entertaining watching guys around be shove their elbows out at the guys whenever they got close so they could jab them. There was this one chick who kept on getting run into, and she finally got pissed enough to shove them back. That guy was about 6'5" or taller, and at least twice my weight, and the chick was skinnier than me and about 3 inches taller, but she pushed the dude all the way across the circle....
Anyways, Muse was amazing! They did very well, and I loved the clear drums and piano. They played a bunch of songs I'm familiar with, and only 2, if that, that I didn't know. (They were from their first album, the only one I haven't heard all the way through) One of my friends was there, and although I didn't see him there (he wasn't with the group that brought me) he said it was the best concert he's been to in a very long time. I completely agree.
I'm a tad jealous with my friend though. He was in the third row of the pit, right in front of Bellamy, lucky dude. I would have loved to be able to actually watch him play. I was so short, I could barely see the drummer and bassist, and even then only selectively. Great music though, and one of my friends is definately gonna kill me when I see her again. She's obsessed with Muse and the fact that I saw Bellamy live (she freaking loves him) will seal my fate...
