After the "accident", as my mother called it, I spent a lot of time at my dad's house. Because I still had a cast on my leg it was really hard to get around and do things on my own, my dad had agreed to let Seth come stay with us for a while. My dad was at work for most of the day so he couldn't be home to take care of me. He trusted Seth to stay and help me out. A week after I got out of the hospital, my mom decided to pay an unexpected visit. She had brought along my step-dad, Jack, which kind of freaked me out. Seeing that I was nervous, Seth helped me upstairs and we pretended not to be home. Unfortunately, I had forgotten that my dad gave mother a key when i moved in. She let herself in and started to tear everything up. By the time her and Jack had left, the entire house was in ruins.
Luckily, they had not found me and Seth. About ten minutes after we thought they left, Seth quietly snuck downstairs just to make sure it was safe. Just as he started to step off the squeaky staircase, Jack jumped out from around the corner and pushed Seth against the wall. The sound of my dad's car pulling into the driveway must've scared him. He dropped Seth and began to panic. Before Jack and my mother could think of anything to do so they wouldn't get caught, my father walked in. Automatically, he pulled out his gun. My dad used to be a cop so I guess you could say he knew what he was doing. Jack lunged at him attempting to grab the gun, only making the situation worse...
