Without you, the ground thaws, the rain falls, the grass grows.
Without you, the seeds root, the flowers bloom,
The children play. The stars gleam, the poets dream, the eagles fly, without you.
The earth turns, the sun burns, but I die, without you.
Without you, the breeze warms, the girl smiles, the cloud moves.
Without you, the tides change, the boys run, the oceans crash.
The crowds roar, the days soar, the babies cry, without you.
The moon glows, the river flows, but I die, without you....
Anata, dearest;
It's five in the morning and I cannot sleep. That makes it eight over there, which I think means that you're at work now. I've been awake this whole time, hoping beyond hope that you'd get on for just a minute before work so I could say I love you.
I guess I'm not quite that lucky.
But then, when I think about it, I am lucky in every sense of the word. I have you, and you are truly wonderful. And modest too - I know you would disagree with me calling you wonderful.
What did I do to deserve you? I must have done something right. I can't quite imagine what it must have been but it certainly was quite right.
I love you. I always have. I always will.
Someday, we will be together. I promise you.
Lovingly yours,
Lilac
...The tears dry, without you.
Life goes on, but I'm gone.
'Cause I die, without you.
