The Blinded Girl

Nightfall. A young female neko stops, panting for a moment, only pausing to suddenly hear a small babling brook to her left. She runs in that direction, and after realizing the cold, refreshing water softly rushing past her feet and ankles, she drops to her knees. The girl places her hands over her face, and weeped. She was blind. This wasn't a dream. She could faintly recall that very moment, when she was between the passing of life or death.

"Girl, why are you crying?" A young demon spoke to her, seeing her body in a mess, yet he was smirking, having a wonderous plan.
"I... Am I... dead?" she asked, her voice quavering.
He chuckled lightly. "You... Look, I'll strike you a deal. Ask me what you desire."
She looked at him, pleading. "Please, above all else, I want to return to the real world..."
He paused, and was silent, just staring at her.
"Oh please, mister, I'll do anything, anything!"
The man stood, deep in thought, still no answer.
"I promise, I will. Name anything, I'll-"
"I want your eyes." he muttered.
"-do anything!" she finished.

"All right. All right. Then you strike a deal with me and only me. You shall live for eternity, with your gorgous body. Stand." She stood up, and within that instant, he took hold of her, then took one of his nails, and carved on her back, which would turn into a mark, one that would most likely never go away. She yelped in severe pain, closing her eyes tightly. The woman's eyes began to burn, just as badly as the bleeding mark. It was a line, at the lower left, curled a bit, and the line continued, and made an upper line to the right, later continuing and making one last large curle to the left. It would later be a beautiful goldish brown mark. This demon's mark. He then tossed her aside, and she fell into darkness.

Shaking her head, the girl sobbed some more, before gasping, and became silent. Her ear twitched as she heard footsteps, crunching onto twigs, and various leaves, all the shade of brown, red, yellow, and orange. Hastily, she stood up, yet tripped on a rock as she tried to run, and now her whole body was soaked, but she did not care. The girl had to get away, she must! Her feet padded softly on the brown earth in the moonlight. There was no more trees to shade her from the world.
