Taking a break from reality wasn't a bad idea. In fact it was a pretty damn good idea. It wasn't like she got this chance everyday. Traveling on the road as a minstrel had its ups and downs, but sometimes it was nice just to sit and look up at the clouds. After all, it wasn't like she had responsibilities to anyone, that was the entire point of traveling on your own. But still there was a part of her that wanted to be more adventurous. A part that longed to do what selfish and tempting things.
She defined this part of her as "that little voice in the back of her head". It was her wicked side. The side of her that was constantly searched for trouble with a fierce longing. She rarely listened to the little voice, but she had noticed lately that she was listening to it more and more. go ahead, it whispered,take the road less traveled. She feared it would consume her, and change her into something that couldn't be controlled. But who said that wasn't what she wanted? She reveled in the feeling she got whenever it would convene to her her innermost desires. She loved it so much it scared her. She resisted the voice as best she could. But she could never resist that glorious feeling she got that only that little voice in the back of her head could supply..........
