i have done some recearch on the high lead levels in the toys that are being recalled.

there has been 9 million chinese made toys recalled do to high level of lead. 3 seirous cases of childern being treated for lead poisoning as of today. here are three web sites that you can check out to veiw the recalls: www.toyinfo.org, www.parents.com, and www.cpsc.gov . please look at them and follow the directions they give if your child has any of these toys. also check them before buying any toy for a child. i know i will be. they update daily. there is also a case involving the new toy aqua dots (bindeez) the coating that makes them stick together when sprayed with water contian ghb (the date rape drug. if you have purchased this product go to one of the web sites i had listed above and fallow the directions in getting a refund. here are the some signs of lead poisoning to watch for:

Symptoms

There are many possible symptoms of lead poisoning. Lead can affect many different parts of the body. Over time, even low levels of lead exposure can harm a child's mental development. The possible health problems get worse as the level of lead in the blood gets higher. Possible complications include:

Reduced IQ
Slowed body growth
Hearing problems
Behavior or attention problems
Failure at school
Kidney damage
The symptoms of lead poisoning may include:

Irritability
Aggressive behavior
Low appetite and energy
Difficulty sleeping
Headaches
Reduced sensations
Loss of previous developmental skills (in young children)
Anemia
Constipation
Abdominal pain and cramping (usually the first sign of a high, toxic dose of lead poison)
Very high levels may cause vomiting, staggering gait, muscle weakness, seizures, or coma


if you think that your child has lead poisoning don't hesitate to take them to the hospital.
