Chapter 1- Abandonment Flame rolled away from the fireball that was rushing at him and sent a fireball of his own in his brother's direction. "You can't catch me, Fiery." Flame taunted. Flame knew his brother hated being taunted. Fiery glared at Flame and brewed up the biggest hottest fireball that he could. Flame knew that if he was hit by his brother's fireballs- or any other kind of attack at that power except tackle - he would not make it out concious. Just hours ago, his mother had told Fiery to take Flame far away from the nest. His mother had been agitated and Flame hadn't understood. Fiery had a gist of what was going on but had refused to explain it to Flame. Now, Fiery was trying to ditch Flame and Flame, yet again, did not understand and kept trying to follow. Flame was a year old and Fiery was sixteen years old. Both are very young for charmanders. Fiery released the brewing fireball and it flew towards Flame at an increasing rate. Flame froze. He had never seen a fireball that strong and he knew it meant doom if it made contact. Or at least that is what his instint told him. And yet Flame did not - could not move out of the path of the disastrous fireball. Its intensity left him paralyzed as it flew towards the unwelcoming charmander. A second fireball - much bigger and stronger than Fiery's - came out of nowhere and sent Fiery's fireball off course. Both fireballs collided with a nearby tree and set it on fire. A third charmander stepped out of the shadows from where the last fireball had come from and blocked Fiery's view (and aim) of Flame. This charmander was much older and much stronger than both the younger charmander's put together. "How dare you attack this baby charmander? You are a ruthless outcast. No charmander (or any other pokemon for that matter) would ever attack another unless threatened. And only evil Pokemon would attack baby pokemon of their own species or any other species for any reason." The charmander said. Flame stared up at his savior, awed by its strength and beauty. Fiery glared at the older charmander. "That charmander won't quit following me around. I have been trying to ditch it for hours. He may be my younger brother but I could care less. I have other better things to do than caring for my idiot brother. Maybe I am evil for wanting to flamebroil my brother but who cares? But then again, I like evil. Whatever pies me off get charred, boiled, and done to perfection." Fiery shrugged and turned away before walking off. The third charmander turned and picked Flame up. "What's your name?" She asked. "Flame" Flame answered. "Where's your mother?" She asked. "At home. She told Fiery my older brother to take me and run far away from the nest. " Flame told her. " Oh, You poor thing, first abandoned by your mother then your brother. Let's get you some food. You look hungry." Said Flame's savior. "What's your name? and I am hungry. And where are we going?" Asked Flame. " Well, you sure are the curious one. My name is Scarlet - but you can just call me mom and think of me as your new mother. We are going back to my home with my other kids, two girls and a boy, who are now your sisters and brother." Scarlet laughed. "New brothers and sisters? what are their name?" Flame said. " my oldest daughter is fifteen and her name is Rosette - Rose for short. My younger daughter is ten and her name is Katelyn - Kate for short. My son is the youngest and he is six. His name is Tolkin." Answered Scarlet. Flame sat in Scarlet's arms and tried to memorize everybody's names. "We're home." Scarlet said several minutes later.
