The Prom Queen Written by Rikku_Luffs_You
As the prom queen stood in tears
She knew the night was ruined she has waited for years
It was finally time to go to prom
When all of the sudden her date was gone
Why he made this decision, No one knew.
He should know what drinking and driving would do.
As she drove in her pretty pink dress down the street
She felt her heart skip a beat
She went to his house, and spoke to his dad
And the words that he said were extremly sad
"my darling, my son has passed away
He can't go to the prom with you on this day
I thank you for coming to pay your respects
This will be something you will never regret"
As this thought sunin very deep
The dad and the queen started to weep
The girl knew she couldn't go to the prom without this man
So instead she stood there and held his dads hand
She could feel the sadness build up in her heart
For they both knew that drinking and driving was not smart
It had killed her date
It had taken his Son
But most of all, It had killed their loved one
As the queen began to leave, She hugged the dad goodbye
And what she saw next made them both want to cry
For the queen saw the ghost of her prom date
Walking in through the front gate
She ran up to the ghost and gave him a hug
A hug that was filled with lots of love
She knew that this could be their last chance
So the prom king and queen shared there first and last dance
I thought this poem was so good that I decided to put it in my journal. It sends a message in my opinion.
