well its new year already here. good thing is that all the sounds had died and there are only occasional fireworks to surprise us with those loud boom
last night was a memorable one. kids were playing games with prizes, dancing and blowing their party hats. we (my twin sister and i) were jumping and throwing our two nieces into the air. its a custom here to let the small ones jump over the adults (especially those who were gifted with good height) so that they would be tall too. Coins and candies flew in the air as the clock stroked at 12 midnight. well i got 20 pesos (one peso each) i think. fireworks display were shown outside our garage with fountains, roman candles and lusis(?). it was a smoky sight. after the commotion lowered, we went to eat foods we prepared in the afternoon. we had kare-kare, spaghetti, steamed fish topped with mayonaise, carrots and tomatoes, biko (traditional rice cake), puto and the usual fruit salad. too bad we weren't able to buy california makis
i wish this year would be very good and okay for me ^-^
