As you move to the notebook again, and idly flip past, you see there is another picture after the first entry - this one of the same girl as before, only of her in an army general outfit, brown with medals decorating it, a riding crop in her right hand, slapping it on her left hand. You flipped the page, and saw a new entry, titled:
January 17th 2008. Thursday - First Day Under Commander-General-Jerkface Kyule!
Dear Journal,
Hey, its me, Saya again! Today was my first day under the command of that jerk-who-stole-my-thunder-ten-years-ago. You're probably thinking, 'Why is this girl so stuck on that incident?'
Because one, he killed poor innocent dragons! And two, if anyone remembered it now, then I'd be Head Archer in no time! But nooo, all the remember is 'OHSOGREAT!' Kyule's achievement. Like a four year old killing a wild boar is no big deal!
Well, okay, he supposingly killed one when he was three over there in Dalle. Ha! I bet it wasn't wild! I bet it was one of those pigs on that farm he used to live on! Yeah! I bet that's it!
Um, anyways.. I have contacts now. They're really itchy, and I have to squirt this solution in my eye every three hours until my eyes are used to them. Which will be in two to three weeks.
We'll have chosen a new Head Archer bythen! And who wants a girl with poor eyesight and itchy eyes to be the new Head Archer? I wouldn't! Ooooogh, if only....
We'll have a shooting test today, under the careful eye of oh-so-great Kyule. The one who can shoot the farthest has a better chance of becoming the Head Archer. I'm last, because I have to solute my eyeballs. I'm sure that Kylie will do great, and she'll be the Head Archer, and she's really scary when she's in power. Don't tell her I said that, though! She'll be mad at me!
Anyways, thirty Archers have already gone - none got past over 500 feet. They're all from the 3rd, though - we're going by knots. Also, if you haven't figured out what a Knot is, they're divisions of the divisions. Like the Strength Division has 5 Knots, each containing Knights - the best are in front, the worst in the back. The Intelligence Division has 27 Knots - they're really big! The best Mages are usually somewhere in the middle, around the 15th, the newbies are from the 16th to the 27th, and the old, nearly graduated are in front - you graduate at your death. Agility Division has 18 Knots - Newbies are in the 18th (to watch us masters!), and 17th is the best, and 1st is the worst. And, lets see, who else.. Oh! And the secret Dexterity Division - they're full of spies and assassins and ninjas! Only the Archers know about them, because we give them Agility exercises and they give us Dexterity exercises.
Anyways, where was I? Oh, right!
I'm kinda applying my solution, so don't mind if there are spots on the page.

Ah, there we go. Much clearer. Up next is Lyla Snick, who's the most popular girl in the Agility Division. She's even caught many of the other eyes of the Divisions, and she's going out with an Assassin - too bad he was KIA. She didn't know yet - I was planning on shouting it out if she got past 500.
Of course, she did - all the way to 600. Since I knew I could shoot more than that, I called out, "Hey, Lyla! Have ya heard? Yer boyfriend's been KIA!"
The other girls yelled it too - so they'd have a better chance. Plus, Lyla's too weak to be a leader. She she screamed, dropped to her knees, and he arrow went flying-
Right into my leg.
You should've seen it! Blood! Everywhere! It was exciting. Of course, I couldn't do my test now, that was a bother. It totally ruined my chances of being Head Archer.
and when Kyule looked into my medical records to write in this new issue, he saw the eye thing.
So I'm probably never going to be Head Archer. Oh well, time to shoot for Commander-Lieutenant! That's the head over EVERYONE. Doesn't need any particular skills. But you've gotta stay in the-
WAIT. I might not even get to stay an Archer. Then how will I stay in the ranks? Arg! This so NOT my life. I wonder if I died, 'd come back as someone who's eyesight isn't turning her blind?
Then again.. I listen to the wind most of the time to tell where to shoot. I could be the first blind Archer. First blind HEAD Archer!
Well, the Light Division (They focus on Healing - always in the headquarter's hospital) is coming. I should put you away, before they decide I'll stab myself in the leg attempting to get this arrow out. I've done it before.

You shut the book slowly, then wonder how these entries are appearing. IF the next pages are always blank, but the next day you look, they're there? And on the same day. And if this 'Kyule' was dead.. Then why was he alive?
