Riku had walked off away from his newly built home. Gone to gather some food and supplies to last him through the winter. But then again...it seemed liked winter all the time here. His ears hung low as they always do, looking side to side for anything to eat or to use as firewood "there must be something around here" he says now bending down to dig at the snow.
Lime Colored Band-Aid
Sparlin had been walking for days now, munching lightly on her rather large gathering of seeds, berries, and other eatable. Her golden paws pressing lightly on the snow covered ground making a soft crunching sound. It was very smart of her to have left the snow filled area to gather food for herself and she was very pleased to have done it. He head bobbed as she hummed to herself lightly, her tail swinging from side to side as she continued on her way towards he little make-shift home.
Opening her eyes wide to look around the area she blinked a few times, she could have sworn her home was somewhere around the area. Frowning slightly the minya bite the inside of her cheek and pressed onward. Was she walked to continued to look about, wondering where her little hut could be.
After an hour passed she found it, but not at the state she left it. There it was, her sweet little hut, laying in a pile from the wind and snow. Sniffling softly she looked down at the ground. She needed to find another place to stay until she could fix her hut up, the only problem was that finding a anthro minya was like trying to find a needle in the snow.
“Oh drat!” The canary female sighed as she looked about trying to figure out a way to go. Thankfully, her savior was very close, close enough to see. “Oh!” Her golden eyes opened wide as her heart starting beating like crazy. “I better go see who that is. Maybe they will be nice and let me stay with them!” She smiled slightly at her luck and got up from the snowy ground, her bundle of food wrapped protectively in her arms.

Riku wiped the sweat off his brow, he pushed aside the snow and dirt. Suddenly he perked up his ears to some sudden noises and a voice. He raised his head and ears, looking around he spots something in the distance "well now...how could this be?" he asked himself, as he pushed himself off the ground. Dusting the dirt off him. He scratched his head pondering "should i go see who that is?"
Riku then noticed that the creature was heading his way, a female of his kind "odd...she looks fimilar" he starts to walk towards whoever it was "Hello?" he says to the yellow female "good day for a walk?" he asks to strike a conversation, its been so long since he meet any other of his kind. He then noticed the female was carrying something in her arms

She couldn’t help but smile as she got closer and closer to the other minya, she was so lucky to have found another so quickly after finding out that her home have been destroyed. Rushing up toward the other she quickly noticed that it was a male, with clothing. Narrowing her eyes in thought as she ran she tried to remember where she had seen the other minya, because she knew she had at some point in time.
As she continued to think hard and run towards the male she completely forgot that she was on cold, slippery snow and soon found herself on the ground with a soft thud. Her food quickly scattering every which way as she whined in pain.
“DRATS!” The female exclaimed as she stared at her sack half-full of food. That had taken such a long time to gather too! Looking up Sparlin smiled at the male and blinked. He was so familiar to her. “Did I.. meet you before somewhere?” She cocked her head before looking back down at the scattered berries and seeds then back up at him. “My day is not being very fair today.”

Riku suddenly flew seeing the female sliip and fall. He quickly rushed to her side why he didnt know "are you alright?" he asked, helping her get her bearing and getting the food she was carrying. he shallowed deeply and ignored the growling in his stomach. He looked towards her and stared, blinking a few at her "you do look...familiar" trying to remember his earlier days when he first came to these lands

He tilts his head, he had a feeling of wanting to hug her for some reason. But resisted it, he helped her up "that is a shame, such beauty shouldnt have to deal with such hardships" he says soon blushing afterwards Why did i say that? he asked himself, he shook his head and hang it low, letting his hair cover his eyes

Sparlin couldn’t help but smile the male as he lowered himself to help her pick up her food. As she watched him she stared at his face. He seemed really hungry to her, and that just wouldn’t do! As Sparlin waited for a reply she giggled, it was rather odd of him to just dive like that. “I know what you mean! I want to know where I saw you before.”
Sparlin’s smile only grew wider as he eye widened and her ears perked. “Oh My! Are you.. RIKU! OMGOODNESS!” She didn’t notice his head and how it hung nor did she care if he had a personal bubble because the next thing she knew she was hugging him tightly.
“Oh my goodness this is what fate is!” She cuddled the male closer and smiled.
Sparlin’s smile only grew wider as he eye widened and her ears perked. “Oh My! Are you.. RIKU! OMGOODNESS!” She didn’t notice his head and how it hung nor did she care if he had a personal bubble because the next thing she knew she was hugging him tightly.

Riku smiled softly towards her, hearing her comment. He dusted himself off after finishing helping her but then quickly landed back on the ground with a 'thump'. Riku's eyes open wide, his ears drawn back, as he caught her by the hips. Blushing and staring towards her "so it is you!" without realizing he quickly drew her into a hug
"Sparlin...where have you been? I've been so worried about you" still hugging her, with a slight blush across his cheeks. He pulled away to look at her face once more "My goodness, its been so long....wait..." he paused and looked her over and back up "S-sparlin...what happen to you?" he looked towards her a bit confused

Sparlin opened her eyes as he looked her over. It wasn’t everyday that she had another look her over like that. Was there something different about her? He frowned for a moment in thought. Perking her ears up she looked at him and gleamed.
“OH! That is right! I am an anthro now! You see something with this potion and everything. It changed me.” He nodded her head a few times causing her bright yellow hair to bounce.
“Oh.. And umm.. I got lost for awhile.. Then I decided to live here.. It is sort of lonely but now I have you!” Her smile never faltered as she bounced up and down watching the other closely. “you sure look hungry though Riku. Shall we eat together?”
