1)Gaara has spiky red hair that DOESN'T cover ether of his eyes.
2)He doesn't wear black horn-rimmed glasses.
3) He doesn't wear what emos wear.
So he doesn't do the emo fashion.
Now does he act emo?

Now look back up at his picture. Does he look emotional? I don't think he does. I think he looks stoic. And when he was younger he had a right to be emotional. Everybody hated him. Even the one he thought loved him hated him.
I think he might be sensitive...But like stated above its because of his past.
Gaara is not shy. Quite yes. Shy no. If he whats to say something he well say it.Like when he told Sasuke something about his eyes.
Gaara is not introverted.He does not drain his energy by being around other people.
Gaara doesn't complain about how much his life sucks.He told Naruto about his past. He didn't complain about it.
Gaara might be depressed. But he doesn't show it.

Wrong! He wanted to know what pain felt like. Thats why he tried to cut himself. Just like a blind person from birth would like to know what the world looks like since he never seen it.
Gaara never tried to commit suicide. Never.
So lets see how much Gaara is like an emo shall we?

act of emo= 2 out of 8 = 28 percent
total 2 out of 11 of Garra's similarity with emo's = 18 percent
If you got a 18 percent on a test you would fail right? So Gaara fails at being emo.
So people who call him emo don't know what emo means or they are trying to bash Gaara and doing a horrible job at it.
