Got those suckers out yesterday afternoon. @__@
First I got there early and read a kiddie book, while the 3 year old next to me read a magazine. xD Then they sent me to the bathroom before asking a few questions and setting me down in the operating room.
I was -supposed- to get anestesaia (sp?) but they said I had a bad airway, so I got a bit of Nitrus (sp) while they hooked up my machines and an IV. The nurses told me I would be asleep and not remember anything. xd LIES.
I was awake 70% of the time, and heard everything they said. xD Even their little jokes.
My right tooth was first, and all I really remember is a pressure in my mouth and a saw sound as he instructed the new girl to watch what he was doing. The saw stops after a bit, and after a little more pressure I hear a few "clinks" as what I assume to be parts of the wisdom tooth hit the tray.
Then I assume I pass out amd they do the left side, because when I wake up they're giving me stitches.
I remember hearing that my surgeon is going to be leaving in September, which is really sad. >: I've NEVER been so excited to see an oral surgeon. He was fairly handsome and friendly (and young!) after all.
Anyhow, after some gauze and a few more minutes on the Nitrus, they help me walk to the waiting room while they clean. 10 or so minutes later my mom walks in, and I'm helped to a wheelchair to be wheeled to the car, making little "VROOM" sounds as best I could -- even though my face was numb.
Then, it was a smooth ride home with me sounding like a drunk with a speech impediment and mouthfull of cotton.
Altogether not a bad experience, since it's been 14 hours since then and all I have is a slight throbbing pain. Most of the feeling has returned to my face as well!
Good riddance, "wisdom teeth."
