Love
Ever felt like your heart was there
Yet it was never whole.
Ever felt lonely around friends
That would do anything for you.
Ever seen two people hug
Wanting what they had.
Ever thought of loving someone
That was never there.
Ever loved something
That didn’t love you back.
Ever seem odd and strange to everything
When you’re alone.
Ever get blamed for something
When all you wanted was for someone to look at you.
Ever taste success
To only have it buried under pain.
Ever try something
Only to be smacked done by your own spirit.
Ever grow tired of trying
To only keep trying.
Ever close to something
Though so far.
Ever wanted love
But never able to reach it.
