I think we should stop being buttheads about Hispancs moving here. We preach about freedom and the American dream yet push away those who try to acheive the American dream because they dont have a visa. Maybe they cant afford to come to America and maybe they're coming so they can make a way for them and they're families. Who are we to push these people away? We dont know their motives. I do understand that some illegal immagrants dont pull their weight but it is those people alone who should be punished for the incompitance that is steriotypicalized with these people. Plus America was built as a refuge to those in need. If we can no longer be a shelter to those people who are suffering, than how can we call ourselves Americans? Is this America anymore?

I think same sex marrage should be legalized. Who are we to tell people who to love. The world is in such need of love and understanding. Who are the lawmakers to deny these humans their beleifs? America preaches about freedom but limits who you can marry. We preach about freedom and limit where our flights are allowed to go? Should we limit our citizens in this way or any other when what we say we're for is freedom?

Capital punishment. I dont beleive in it, but think we need harsher punishment for criminals. Plus is death really punishment if life wasn't good to them anyways? If life was good to them why did they do whatever they did to get sentenced to the death penalty. I think we should punish them in a way that would hurt them. possibly an eye for an eye? or maybe harsh work camps. plus by killing the person it's not an eye for an eye. Its cutting off the snakes head, but the snake could be good if only it had a chance right? Work camps would probably be better. Should we give them the chance is the question, but how can we kill those who kill others? doesn't that make us murderers as well? Is prison really that bad though? Free cable, ciggarets, food, bed, clothes? How is this punishment?

Should we have a woman presedent? I think depending on who it is it might help, but I also think our country is already on a decline similar to rome. I think the corruption is already so bad it probably doesn't matter who we have, but I also think that sex shouldn't matter. As traditional and sexist as this country and world is I think the people would see this country as more vunerable if we had a woman and her emotions may prohibit her from a positive reaction to the probability of an attack on this country. this would be cause by other countries biased view of women being the weaker sex.
