Yay!!!
I just got back from Yosemite!!!
I did a 14.5 mile hike to the top of Cloud's rest, the third-highest peak in the park, which is a vertical climb of 2000 feet from the trail head.
I also scrambled up Lembert dome.
(Scramble= Rock climbing without ropes)
This is Lembert Dome. I climbed to the top. It was intense. I have the scars on my legs to prove it, too.
My two best friends, Marie and Anna, live in Oregon. I'm making them come down to visit soon so that they could have good Thai food and get to know the Bat area better. Then I'm truckin' up to Ashland to chill in their area. Mebbe cathch some Shakespeare. Good times.
The Savages are AMAZING.
They totally live up to their last name [which /is/ actually Savage].
Tim and Tam did a 21 mile hike from Cloud's rest into the valley and up Half-Dome.
Then they scrambled Lembert dome with us, and totally kicked out asses.
Even Cindy [she's 7] is a beast. She dragged her 18-year-old brother five feet across the beach and into the water.
Yeah. They're super-cool.
So thanks to;
Chuck, Kate, Marie, Tim [Anna's dad], Anna, Mindy, Dave, Tim, Tam, Elise, George, Cindy, Kimber, John P, John P Sr., and John L.
