"Wake up! Wake up, young water bender!" Crooned a nagging pichy voice. It was annoying enough for this one to wake.
This one awoke with a major migrane. "What the-"
"It's about time! I could'a woken faster 'n you!" Gabbled the voice again. The cloaked one, no longer cloaked, but revealed, wiped the sleep from the eyes and gasped. "No need to be frightened, young'n. You ain't in any trouble."
This one looked for the voice and found an old lady. She was very tanned and her pinned-up, white, long hair, had strands already to fall out again. She was smiling. "C'mon, get dressed. I need to go shoppin' b'fore the Chief comes back."
The old lady looked in envy at the young girl sitting before her. Indeed this was a girl in her prime. She had long brown hair and gorgious light-blue eyes. It made her look almost immortal. She was rather tall, too. Must be a water gene.
"Wait," The old woman stopped. She thought after a while that the young girl's attire wasn't suitted for her here. "Change into this. If the Chief sees you in that he might....you know how men are." She handed her a servent's clothes.
"Ok...but I was nocked out by soldiers, shouldn't I be taken to a prison cell or something?" The young girl asked.
"You weren't captured by any soldiers! Ha! Far from it, honey! Those were my son's. They suspected you to be fire nation, and well... Just be glad I was home when they decided to bring you here. My boys can be kind of..." Then she suddenly cleared her throat. This one thought it very odd. "By the way, my name is Jinana, Of Kiryu! And my job is...Kitchen help. I'm the Chief's cook. He's the dude who lives here. And I'd like it if he doesn't know about you, miss..."
"This one's name is Ceria, of..." Ceria paused and looked down in dismay. She was from something the wasn't. "Mio Loh."
The old woman gasped. Then reserved herself for comforting. "Oh, I'm so sorry dear. Damn, fire nation. Think they own everything-that they're the superior nation...Damn them."
"It's alright. This one was sent on a journey before the fire nation destroyed Mio Loh." Ceria fumbled around her pockets, and found nothing she was looking for. Her eyes bugged out. "What? Oh, my goodness! Where is it?!" And she frantically began looking for it.
"What? Where's what?" Jianna asked. She was worried the place would be a mess when the Chief came home.
"This one's medallion! It's gone! This one held it up as a sign of my water nation allegeance when your sons- Your sons!" Ceria shouted in epiphanatic success. And she placed her hands on Jianna's shoulders.
"My son's what?" Jianna asked, now frightened of this strange, wild girl.
"They must have it, this one's medallion!" There was an odd silence before anyone answered.
Then came a knock and the sound of a door opening. A deep voice and some one's reply. The old woman gasped, "The Chief! Get dressed, and hurry, we need to go to the market!"
"Jiranna! Jiranna!" Called the so called Chief. He was in need of a third oppinion on his new cloak. But Jiranna would have to be delayed by only a few seconds.
"Yes, me-Lord?" And Jiranna bowed respectfully. He discussed his cloak and she agreed it made him look more dashing. And that the young maidens of this city would be litterally throwing themselves on him if he wasn't careful. This made him smile, until Ceria walked into the room.
"Who is this?" The Chief asked uninterestingly. Ceria had her head bowed in respect, and also to hide her face.
Jiranna answered pleased at the quickness of which Ceria got dressed. "This is my new assisstant, Cera. She will be helping with the kitechin duties I have done. I am old, sir, and may not be here much longer."
"Hmm? Oh, yes. Wasn't there something you needed to get from the market?" He reminded her. And The girls both nodded and bowed before leaving his presence.
When they were beyond the gate and earshot of the Chief, Jiranna sighed in relief. "Oh, goodness, I never thought liein' to the Chief would actually be thrillin'. Now, come, my new assistant. Let's get some shoppin' done. And maybe we'll find may crazy, good-for-nothin' sons in the process."
The two women walked swifter into the busy streets of Kiryu.
