Illusions of Atlantis is proud to announce that after months of hard work and long days in the studio, we will be releasing our first studio album later this month:
It took a few weeks to decide what the theme of the album should be, but we all decided in the end that we should start at the beginning of the Atlantis situation--which of course means starting with Lucifer. Lucifer, being the first angel to Fall, unwittingly lead later angels, such as Semyaza and Azazel to follow in his footsteps. And Semyaza and Azazel were partial responsible for the destruction of Atlantis, so Lucifer is important to the whole thing.
Thus,
Visions of Lucifer was born.
The first 2/3s of
Visions of Lucifer is very loosely based around Milton's
Paradise Lost; more the idea of his fall and a few details like the seduction of Eve and the angels' rebellion against God. The next two songs are based on the Second Fall, a result of the First. And the last is a musical version of Dante's
Divine Comedy.
